Bank Accounts

Joint account here , we are both on similar kind of money, my Mr's is very careful with money I'm more champagne for everyone lol , I leave most of to her for that reason,  we go over our  finances once a month and make the bigger financial decisions together, it works for us.

We have always had separate accounts and one joint account that we both pay into each month, it was more that my earnings were way above what she earned and she could spend money like no ones business, now she earns 3x what I do so a joint bank account might be a good idea ( lol )

Joint account for household stuff which we pay the same amount into every month, covers mortgage, bills, food and  children's stuff. Then our own accounts for hobbies cars, nights out with mates,  and foody quirks. e.g. my smelly Welsh cheeses!

Same here, I've always earned a tidy wedge and leave the Mrs to sort out the bills etc...when i have a little tickle,she gets half,the rest goes in my fishing bag for any unseen bills to do with the dogs,pony,vets, vehicles etc...just cleared our mortgage,so my wages will continue to pay any bills,Mrs wages and any tickles,in a high interest savings account...I'm working till I'm 50,then gonna slow down and only work 2/3 days a weeky doing my own thing...

A joint account we’ve held for over 30 years plus for all the day to day stuff bills etc no overdraft, it’s their if needed but haven’t used it in donkeys years, but investments ect separate purely to stop the government taxing our interest, and I sort out all the bills ect my Mrs seems to think everything costs 50p so I deal with stuff she’s happy with that and if she wants money or wants to buy anything she just buys it, being recently retired I try to run a tight ship and let interest I make pay for things.

Only bills that Ive  personally payed myself the last 23 yrs are my phone,fishing licences,for myself and the eldest Lad ...

Joint account... we're a partnership in every way, I understand how money can cause relationships problems, but I've never been that way about money.. she looks after all the bills, whatever the kids need etc.. she sold her business a few years back and runs the couple af air bnb places we have, she'll spend more than me on clothes, make up etc..but if I want anything I get it and same for her... I don't think there is a right or wrong in this, it just depends on individuals and what works..

I can honestly say in my whole life I never looked at a woman’s nails ?……like you don’t go in the boozer when your 18 and go “f**k me, look at the nails on that” do you ? 
But hey ho, £50 worth of happiness for a couple of weeks for her so who am I to argue ?

I like a lady turned out well, and as my Mrs has always been in the hair and beauty industry it comes with the territory that half my money is spent on hair, nails, make up etc... I've given up checking the spend, I'm grey enough already lol

I do my nut in every month at the credit card bill and last minute visits to shops just before we go out.

we’re out next week and she’s got hair , nails , and tans booked this week, our hotel is squared and the constant arrival of packages at ours is enough to make the average Amazon hub blush but f**k it , she’s into going out , she always has been and who am I to whinge and moan ?

I get away with absolutely doing what I want within reason.

and to be honest , I’d be bored to death with some meek mild boring wall flower .

anyway separate accounts ,
