I had the exact same experience with newts escaping in the house Some remained unaccounted for and I just assumed that our mentally unstable pet crockadilapig (mongrel Russell) had eaten them. But mam found a few dried out behind radiators, she was not happy. The last place I would have expected them to head to.

I lost 2 snakes and a tarantula in my mums house and she still thinks I sold them even now. I turned the house upside down every time my parents went out looking for the little b*****ds 🤣

I see that up at my woodland in Wales.  When the pheasant poults are taken to the release pens , it's not unusual to see 20 to 30 , red kites, buzzards , and ravens , all circling together. Its q

Not just down south now as well, I've seen them in Derby and Bradford, well, you can always hear them before you see them.

I’m sure there’s a breeding population in Glasgow, and has been for a few years now.

Yup,they are tiny and lightweight when you hold one, they might look chunky and robust but they aren't.This area is one of the supposed sites they were first released hence the high numbers, there's a decent sized roost not far away of a few thousand birds.

Yes I’ve seen loads of articles recently of how they are growing in numbers.

Loads of em parakeets round my village, noisy little feckers too.

Seen a red kite over the field infront of my house last week, and have it on good authority that we have had muntys round here for a few years now, though I'm not convinced, I'm out over these fields every day, morning and night and never seen one.

Muntis have shit road sense you will see them on the roadside dead if there about usually they also seem to give off no or a different scent to roe as my old lurcher will pick up on roe scent in the thickest cover but I’ve watched muntis go in a hedge and the dog walk straight past a few seconds later

I,m on outskirts of Manchester, past 12 months the parakeets moved in, they was all over the other side of manny. I’ve heard no reports of munties near me , but have had a roe population explosion. Haven’t seen a rabbit near me for years. There is a bank of gorse near my gaff , held rabbits for 35 yrs . No one bothers with them and every year they would recover from mixi. They died out a few years ago and never recovered, such a shame.

there is a healthy breeding population of Aesculapian snakes in Colwyn Bay in North Wales that escaped from the Welsh mountain Zoo in the 70's and they like living in the walls people's houses
