we've been trying to fight for our country for some years but not in the way the people at the top want, now they want the people at the bottom to fight to protect what the people at the top have😠

Why would Russia invade us? Because our elites keep telling you they might?  The same elites that told all those young men that they were giving up their lives for 'freedom and democracy'? O

Quite easy, not a dinghies chance in a storm, the enemy is within, the left, weirdos, royals, just about everything wrong with society today, nahhh ill leave it to the anarchists, protestors and the r

When the Falklands war started ,there was paper talk about introducing conscription. I would definitely  have refused to serve.

To possibly lose your life because some 19 year old Argie conscripts were instructed to erect an Argentinian flag on a God forsaken sheep island God knows where...f**k that.

The whole shitshow was text book political spin. The Argies were promised their island back by their leader,  a  jumped up military dictator. The argies were out in the streets celebrating as though an Argie flag, flying in the wind, on a poxy island, nobody had heard of, really mattered.

But Thatcher saw her opportunity ,had her photo taken on a Brit tank and sent a task force to be bombed to f**k in broad daylight by exocet missiles. British lads were horribly burned, maimed and disfigured.

What was scary to me was how the British propaganda machine suddenly sprang into life. f****n Daily Mail and The Sun with union jacks on the front page . Suddenly all our troops were heroes and out came the flags, the bunting,Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Brittania. Even Vera Lynn was trotted out.

So we sailed thousands of miles, quickly overcame a sorry bunch of shivering , bum fluff argie conscripts and the whole of the UK celebrated. Joyous scenes greeted the troops arrival home complete with wives and sweethearts waving hankies blah blah blah.

What a complete farce.

War is a rich mans racket .  British politicians have pissed and shit on the graves of the british men that fought in ww2, in the same way irish politicans are pissing and shitting on the graves of Irish men how fought for ireland .   " when the rich go to war , it's the poor how die " .

OK our lads are hard as f**k and there's no better soldiers in the world. Believe that if you want.  It was still a calculated and successful attempt to win an election by an evil calculating woman.

We should be mourning the senseless deaths of the dead and maimed not fooling ourselves into thinking how fantastic we are as warriors. All troops say that of whatever nation.

As far as I'm concerned they can stick their medals . As a matter of interest, how much would a Falklands widow be given?

255 UK soldiers died. 777 injured. Its an insult to those lads that we ever went to war over absolutely nothing. Not one Falkland islander was harmed by the argies and the majority of the islanders do not identify as British in any case. Although they are happy to be defended by the UK.

It wasn't  a war it was a cynical  tory propaganda exercise. And British troops paid with their lives. It was  tragic,a f****n disgrace. Of course the pub talk is about how fearless our troops were and how we quickly overcame the enemy. It always is. Its how we like to feel good about ourselves. Men have been saying how brave they are and contemptuously showing their arses to the enemy since the beginning of time. Its part of the territory in dust ups of any kind. The fact remains it was a meaningless tragedy over a flag.

Clap like seal lions now that the union jack is flapping over a nondescript sheep island , nobody had ever heard of if you want. Casualties of war and their families are soon forgotten in mass congratulation and the awarding of medals.

The US suppled us with missiles for our Harriers, ground to air missile systems, use of their Atlantic refuling facilities, two million litres of fuel and had a replacement on standby if one of our carriers got sunk.

They weren’t neutral, they stopped all arms sales to Argentina.

Cheers.

at the start the U.S. were neutral ,if they had stood behind Britain from the beginning then maybe it would not of kicked off, yet we always seem to back the U.S.A at a click of their fingers
