*The world's first nuclear fusion power plant, is set to be built in Britain. Expected to create hundreds of direct jobs and thousands across the supply chain, the UK Atomic Energy Authority's prototype power station, will be sited in West Burton, Nottinghamshire.

*Hull-based truck body builder Paneltex, is set to create 240 new jobs and open an additional huge new factory at Newport, after securing the largest contract in its history.

*Babcock is creating 250 new jobs at its Rosyth site. The British engineering giant recently started construction of the first of five Royal Navy Type 31 frigates, HMS Venturer, in its new assembly hall at the Firth of Forth dockyard.

*British manufacturer AMTE Power, has signed a contract to manufacture its Ultra High Power (UHP) cells, at the £130 million UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) in Coventry. Earlier this summer, the firm announced plans to build a new £19O million ‘megafactory' in Dundee.

*Smith+Nephew, has appointed Race Cottam Associates (RCA) to design its new £80 million production and R&D facility in Melton, near Hull, one of the largest investments in the British medical equipment manufacturer’s 166-year history.

*Lidl, is to hold career interviews at its Peterborough-based, regional distribution hub, as it creates 1,000 jobs.

*Toyota is celebrating 30 years of production at its Deeside engine plant, the first site to build Toyota hybrid engines outside of Japan. The factory is set to make over 250,000 units this year, taking its historic total beyond the five million mark.

things ain't looking good for everyone...put in a crane gantry and big concrete loading pad few months back...the firm's just gone into administration owing us 87 k

My mate had something similar happen recently bank took the house back he's been doing up not sure on the figure but it's looking like it's in tens of thousands on materials and Labour hopefully you get something dc

easy come,easy go mate.end of this month on completion,we should be getting 150k for the drainage and road we've put into a new build site...if it goes Pete tong..then there will be a 20 ton machine dropped off and we will level the guys big pad out in the country ...I've agreed to do the bird and the boys pay my bills until I get out...fingers crossed we won't have too
