But, I'm actually Planning to cut and fix wood, see?! :boogy:

Kanny or Dan would likely just stick a pencil behind their ears and have at it, with confidence.

Me? I have to Agonise over every fukking screw. Even whether or not I'll be able to get a screwdriver to it  Just the way I am!

Nice work.
not keen on any cross joints on mixed size slabs either lay linear for more modern look or choose a pattern that will mean no cross joints and repeat.
also cuts on circle could be tidier be better with a handheld grinder than a Sthil saw for intricate cuts.
should really be 2 brick below dpc if running right to building also imo
not trying to be a smart ass looks tidy job otherwise  ?

Maybe some black edging blocks would have tidied that rough old looking edge eh :whistling: ,but like you i don't like crosses in slab laying either but as long as the customer is happy then sod what the workers think to be honest.

Always run your slabs falling away from the house,if not use aco drains...If the slabs are layed with the correct amount of fall away from the house, then no need for 2 below damp..that's just site bollocks...folks don't want a step up on or down over the threshold from personal experience ,every property should have ramps for wheelchair/pram access these days?

nice job that Stav??..my only criticism is I'm not fussed on the colour ??DSC_0800.JPG.9d0fa629cfd113bc5449e9cad99238a6.JPGDSC_0801.JPG.6dec2d2cd578d03293aea11c6616f4e7.JPGDSC_0719.JPG.27631c1a2de0cec5c3cb669812c9a852.JPGDSC_0794.JPG.f59cbc2be577afbea89cb55bbc1e3085.JPGDSC_0784.JPG.0cbb23139420ef7711c649984b697b6b.JPG

been putting in double damp corse up this way for about 15year for level access areas, works ok unless its a full fill cavity!

had loads of folk on phone over last couple of months with having such a wet winter that walls are damp where that blown in shite is wringing wet and damp patches in the house!

Indian stone looks well when first layed but shite after a couple of years, porcelain is all the rage up here now

If i can i'll go take a few pics of a patio of Indian stone i laid 5 odd years ago now,the fella treats it every year and looks after it and it still looks brand new mate,B&Q patio sealer is all he uses and like i say it still looks as good as it did the day it got laid..Don't look after it and like you say it soon looses it's glamour..
