Looks good mac. Check out PHD Designs gear jackets and bags ect. Based in Harrogate but the factory were they make them is in the mill down the road from me. Expensive but quality gear, they got an autumn sale on sleeping bags at the moment.

I will check them out, only went for Kuiu because of the reputation,to be honest I am spoilt for choice over here,Canucks have a rep for being outdoorsy types, the kit is top notch,Kuiu is what a lot of people get when heading to Alaska and northern Canada so I know it will be fine in the alps and himalaya, packs down to nothing as well, they have a 100% waterproof floatable dry bag rucksack,I have used dry bags before, will probably go for their bag.

just having a coffee in Timmies, last day of the Salmon season, hoping for a biggie.

I prefer cotton dries out as fast as it gets wet, never wear denim for anything other than going out, did you buy a fanny pack to match the pants lol

I've only heard good things about the PHD gear Leo. My sister picked up one of their bags only used once and got a mega deal on it she was saying. Only downside was it didn't have a zip on it!! Lol!! She was aware if that by the way. I can't actually remember what she was quoted for having a zip fitted but it kind of ruined the deal!!  Oh well!! Lol..

I'll have a good poke about on their site later. I don't need owt as such bit always good to have a gander eh!!

Exactly matey.. I was harassing my Mrs this morning.. if you don't ask you don't get!! Haha..🤣

I'll ask my sis if had the zip fitted out of curiosity. Probably not because she is a tight arse!! She's coming down end of October and wants me to take her for a refresher walk over Kinder as she has her Mountain leaders qualification course coming up soon and the first half is based in the Peaks so I'll look forward to that!

Used to get barbours and berghaus from the factories,at one time I was told most people in southwick were wearing decent berghaus jackets as a local lad worked in the factory,I only wore it because I was getting it cheap, never really liked berghaus.

Bless you Mac, I may have my fabrics mixed up but think I,ll stick to what the military of the world have worn for years along with nomadic dessert people and camel jockeys rather than what the posh tourist wears on his park walks, but cheers anyway

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
