And it has crossed me and a friends thoughts of how hed go over a non ped whippet. But I hear it's been tried and aren't what they should be Quote Link to post
AndyD89 253
Has anyone ever seen a Airedale blooded lurcher?? Always had a soft spot for Airedale’s. Had a Airedale/Irish terrier as a lad, was a propa handy ferreting companion , brilliant nose , would retrieve feather , steady enough to be in the beating line on a shoot day. Don’t get me wrong he was no super dog or out, just really handy to have about for just about anything u were doing , a propa tryer an hard as nails. Often thought I would of loved to of had him over a greyhound or lurcher, think he would of added a lot. My farther picked him up from a rescue an they had neutered him sadly. Just noticed few folk mentioning finding a leggy pat or russel and it just made me think wat about an airedale, tallest of them all. an would offer that terrier drive an attitude you would want. But I spose finding a working Airedale or Irish terrier would be easier said than done 3 Quote Link to post

A running dog which gives tounge is not worth having to be perfectly honest and truthful .Those that do open up are best left for day work with ferreting and webs they can then be used to bay at the entrance hole of rabbits Warren's. So all is not lost so to speak. With all probability I am of the opinion from a personal perspective believe that anything that is particularly frustrated whenever it is unable to keep up with its chosen quarry is undoubtedly going to open up this i believe is more likely to be inherited from hounds or terrier What THE f**k ARE YOU GIBBERING ABOUT?!! 1 1 Quote Link to post

If I remember rightly, she described the airdaile as running like a tin soldier walked........ Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post
