A none Christian British family, and Martin is probably 2nd generation immigrant or possible asylum seeker going on horrible gran's' accent. Yet very relatable to and very likeable. In many ways the quintessential middle class English family apart from family Sunday dinner is on a Friday night.  An example of how this great country used to work, tolerant and accepting, multi-cultural going back centuries. A civilised society. 

My favourite episode, when we are introduced to Mr. Morris, nice gran's boyfriend. Wise words from gentile neighbour Jim is he Hitler? Filthy slanders!

Very funny show is Friday night dinner...was watching the other day....my youngest loves it....the episode where it's the boys birthday.....and the dad has got him a book about  the SS in the war...lol

Side note the only Jewish person on the show is aunti Val

Standing behind the alky at the checkout who smells of piss !……them c**ts is always the same, little rucksack, work clothes that look like they have never seen the inside of a washing machine and they are buying like a token tin of beans and some Jaffa cakes and then stacking 6 cans of the cheapest lager and a bottle of whiskey made by someone you’ve never heard of behind them like it’s an afterthought ! 
Soapy c**ts stink because you know full well they are going home, sitting in their chair, getting arseholed and falling asleep in their own pissy trousers ! 
 

I had one the other week and me and my lad had to genuinely stand back about 10ft the smell was that bad,  while the poor girl at the ramp served the f***ing tramp ! 
My youngest is great, he just says it out loud “Dad, what’s that stink of piss ?” 
“That’s him there son, that’s him !”

I’ll add that rural ireland seems to have an inordinate amount of people in their 50s and 60s who stink of shit and look like they have never had a wash ever ! ……..it’s f***ing howling !
