" Lock, Stock And Two ... "

Prime. Hour 3/4s.

Always felt Snatch left it in the dust, frankly. This latest viewing did nothing to disavow me.

I watched "Lock, Stock ..." last night. I keep forgetting that I have Amazon Prime on my tele and on only keep the subscription going because they show the occasional EPL game. But when I remember I try and watch it so that I am getting my money's worth. So watched Lock, Stock last night.

Great film. Far better than I remember. I do like Guy Richie's style, so British, a bit like Carry On films meet Gangster movies meets cheesy blood and gore horror. Pure entertainment.

The Dig

Film - Netflix

A charming, beautifully filmed and interesting story of the dig at Sutton Hoo just before the start of WW2.

A fantastic all British cast, with Ralph Fiennes as Basil Brown, the 'excavator' and finder of the horde. His understated acting in this role is superbe.

I'm sure most will find it pretty boring but i really enjoyed it.

8/10

I lived about half a mile from there for over a decade , the place has an air to it of historical magnitude .

many years ago as young kid I remember the helmet being in the front page of my class history book.

there’s also some cracking earths around the front edge of the hoo . A very historical part of the uk .

If the surrounding land looks anything like it does in the film, it looks a beautiful part of the world.

Take your mountain bike mate and slow your mindset back about 20 years and you’ll fit right in . The Suffolk east coast is like the land time forgot and is probably the last part of proper England we will see . It’s a different world there pal from Felixstowe up to Lowestoft . Loads of sleepy little villages and food to savour .

Spent 13 years at Sutton hoo heath . Loved it there

Outpost: Netflix, 1 hour 30 mins. Low budget Scottish horror movie.

In present day Eastern Europe, a stereotypical group of mercenaries find a secret Nazi bunker with supernatural consequences.

6/10 for novelty value.

Cheers, D.
