Minshaw dogs

Recommended Posts

According to the daywalking coursing dog worshippers, hares turn into slugs and cant run on any field during the hours of darkness. Their rule book says hares are only allowed to be taken during daylight hours with coursing/saluki type lurchers with fair law, it is wrong that hares are taken by any other method if you don't believe them ….. " you should try catching them during the day with your dog"  ?

heres 1 more for ya...not the best pic....im on the left with the same bitch.....the young fella on the right is holding Don...he has the same sire as mine...a "minshaw " called jack...the dam to don

The Minshaw name tag is just that a tag used by peddlers, not a type or breed. Every lurcher in my kennels for the last few generations has had the blood of Bess a half x bitch running threw thei

What sort of fields were these 20hares a night being regularly killed in?I know a hare on the lamp is not the same as in the day but even so on decent size arable fieds or fens they dont just sit about waiting to get caught.

The numbers ive took and seen taken was just in your avarage bit of field not fens but some good sized fields some smaller thin hedges gamecover odd bit of fencing. The dog i seen do numbers at night the most killed 7 in the day once prob ran ten or 12.

It was not uncommon back aways fa good bags of long ears under the lamp difficult job was finding the numbers ta get the bigger bags few got on the sniping of em general collie curs type mixed bred jukeukown breds .its a totally different type a hunting tan daytime ,lots a good day dogs won't last long on a nights lamping with a good conditioned purpose bred jukel da lamping. There's no rules and regs in the night time pursuit of long ears grit determination stamina and enough speed what s needed.take em out early on ta next .atb bill

I’ll take my moral lessons from elsewhere reference day and night game .

After all , I suppose all those hares killed in the day time are brought home and used productively

tell it like it is, catchingbhares is still catching hares . It still results in a lurcher catching its quarry
