Greyman 32,105
I have loads of outdoor camping and cooking stoves, and I would say forget colemans, you need to carry a gallon of petrol and they can let you down when you need them, gas I would not rely on in a survival situation again if you run out your fecked and they are a bit fiddly for repairing in the field, I have a mini trangia that runs on meths clean very light and no parts to break and I have just bought a wood gas stove for £9.99 from China the same make and model is going for £50 in uk shops it runs on twigs or meths and once again no parts can stop working, and I have also always got a Kelly kettle in the van for an emergency brew

mushroom 14,143
Just dont get caught having a fire and you're laughing. You are not supposed to have fires here (for obvious reasons). However I always find a safe place and get a small fire going. Usually sat on a bed of rocks and surrounded by rocks. I mean come on, how many police wander around the Pyrenees at night catch only to try and catch this nutter with his small fire lol

To be fair they don't have much to do round there though.
WILF 50,684
2L of petrol in 2 of those Ali fuel bottle will last until the cows come home. I used to fish at least one 24 hour session every week with the odd 3 or 4 day stint in between right through the year. As anybody who knows me will testify I like a cup of tea or 20 and I never got through one of those green 5L fuel cans you buy from the garage a year. Flipper_Al 1,012
Have used Coleman's for years, i have now changed to a Bulin T4, wished i had done it years ago, make sure you use a propane/butane mix gas, in the colder weather, but the stove as a heat pipe so works well in cold weather Kettles, have a look at the Fire Maple range

Rounded a corner and the fuucking dogs go mental, growling etc. Turned the head torch on and there's 3 coppers
