Being a old wolves lad ( wolverhampton ) , when ive met people and talked, its oh you a brummie , i say no i am not, iam from wolves,i must have said it a 100 times, you start to get pissed off with it. :yes: .It like saying every person in wales, scotland, ireland, england, all sound the same from there own towns,cities , and we all no they dont :yes: ok its black country sound, but even i cant understand them . :D

I'm not from 'Up North' as a lot of people say to me - I'm from the Midlands...(Nottingham specifically). I can distinguish a Nottingham accent from a Derby or a Leicester, but to the good lady BB (Bedfordshire), they all sound the same......

I lived with a bird from Wolverhampton for a little while so can just about tell the difference between that and a straight forward Birmingham accent......she was a cracking sort but sounded dosey as arseholes even clever people sound like complete thickos up there :D ......mind you i dont spose my accents none too clever either.
