greg64 3,060
The bit regarding the tattoos is interesting.... he must have been very close to the blokes to have noticed them especially something as small as a swallow tattoo on someone's hand ..... before being knocked out cold If I was out doing a spot of ferreting & a couple of people showed up that I had not seen about before I would have given the landowner a quick call just to see if they had any knowledge of them .. if not I think I would have packed up & gone to my car ... even for a bloke on his own it would be pretty intimidating. Don't you find it interesting that he was supposed to be ferreting yet no mention of ferrets left behind which they would have been if he was ferreting a warren? That is without his nets that would have been covering the holes. We only have his word (for what it is worth) that he was actually robbed of rabbits? TC I think there is a reference to having to collect ferrets from the farmer .. i will see if i can find it is your sir name marple kay

bigmac 97kt 13,834
Feck me the Durham constabulary are not the brightest lights on the tree are they!! This is a post they made on their facebook page on Jan6th. Durham ConstabularyJanuary 6 · A man was left injured and shaken after an unprovoked assault. The incident happened in Edmundbyers near Consett at around 1pm on Tuesday, December 8. The victim, a local man in his 50s, (*1) was approached from behind by two men, struck on the head and knocked unconscious sustaining injuries to his arm as a result of the assault. He was transported by air to hospital and has since been discharged. (*2) The first suspect is described as a white man, aged around 50, six feet tall and of muscular build with tattooed writing on his neck and a swallow tattoo on his hand. He was dressed in a camouflage jacket and was wearing a flat cap. The second suspect is described as a white man, aged around 45, about five feet tall and of stocky build. He was described as scruffy in appearance and was wearing a wax jacket and had a tattoo on his lower neck near his collarbone. The suspects had two lurcher dogs with them, one black in colour and one brindle. PC Michael Rutherford said: “This was an unprovoked and nasty attack which not only left the victim injured but also very shaken. “The attack took place on farm land on which the victim had been, with permission, hunting rabbits. (*3) When he came round after the attack, the rabbits that he had caught had been stolen. We would like to appeal to anyone with information that might help us trace those responsible to get in touch.” Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Michael Rutherford from Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting reference SB1501517. (*1) If he was attacked from behind how does he know it was two men if he was knocked unconscious? I have had a few clouts to the head over the years, never been knocked unconscious but have always sustained head injuries in the form of cuts or bruises to the head. I honestly believe that if you hit a person hard enough to make them unconscious it will leave signs that you have been hit. (*2) Very detailed description from an unconscious man? (*3) This implies that once he was hit from behind and rendered unconscious, he did not come to until the attackers had left the vicinity and had taken his rabbit with them. Well how did he give a detailed description then? I have a theory that would explain a lot of the anomalies above, but that is for another time. TC Dont forget the description of the dogs to TC he described them to a t Must have eyes in the back of his head atvbmac
