Always liked Dave Allen........Bill Hicks is one of my all time favourites...........anyone remember Jerry Sadowitz?.....

Bernard Mannings timing was second to none. Quasimodo running down the street being chased by a load of kids. He shouts, for the last time I haven't got your f***ing ball ?.

If you think Frankie Boyle is 'close to the knuckle', this guy was doing it years ago !   Could anyone launch a tirade like George Carlin.....................?

Billy Connolly back in the day was genius. Love Peter Kay's live stuff too, some fantastic shows. Sean Locke cracks me up. Frankie Boyle is a bit of a hero of mine also..., guy is radio fcukin rental.

Went to see Michael McIntyre a few years ago, fell asleep half way through and left before the end... missus didn't talk to me for a week.....

happy days :-)

I can't stand Michael McIntyre his squeaky voice and skipping I'd love run on stage and kick him in the stones that'd get a few laughs lol

micky flannagan is funny as f**k ..

Went to see Flannigan last year at Buxton. He was ok but much the same as we'd seen on the telly apart for the language. He did a sketch about the art of fingering being out of fashion. Quite funny but the audience was mainly elderly/middle aged so there were a few embarrassed folk looking around

Took my old man to see Chubby Brown last year, same routine as when I saw him near 20 yrs ago, what really chapped my arse was the fact he was onstage 50 mins max :icon_eek: needs to give it up,his love of the game has gone...looked like he was going on 2-10 shift when he walked onstage, face like a slapped arse  Mike Reid RIP...what a talent we lost there,no one tells a story like he did....Took the old fella to see Ken Dodd last year,we left after 4 hrs and he was just getting going  never seen anyone love being onstage as much.Going to see Jimmy Carr next month, will report back

Never forget as a kid seeing him in a panto. It was gone 11.00 by the time they got him off stage. Saw Spike Milligan once and he was brilliant, coming to the interval he said "I'm about to have 15 minutes off, why don't you all go and have it off too"

I like loadsa different ones, But Bob Monkhouse` stand up routine was brilliant

Bob did a local working mens club many years ago,all the local kids stood outside in the rain when he turned up (couple of hours before he was due onstage) took the lot of them inside ,bought them all crisps and coke and put on a show for them for an hour :notworthy: Legend..

The modern ones, Lee Mack, Frankie Boyle and Sean Locke, the older ones, Big Bernard was brilliant, seen him about 10 times altogether and always different

Saw Ken Dodd at Porthcawl village hall when we were on holiday about 25 years ago, kids were asleep when we finally left turned midnight :victory: He was bloody good as well

One of the funniest was a chap who used to do the stag/strippers scene around the clubs back in the early eighties.

A fella called Kenny Kent who used to wear a union jack waistcoat. Anyone remember him?

Cheers, D.
