  1. Just had a look on chambers they have a good few thread protectors for 1/2inch male unf thread?
  2. Is it a 1/2in. Unf male thread? I'm sure there will be caps to cover it somewhere
  3. Is this just on the 100's lads? Or any other models?
  4. Cheers greyman. I think £15 is a decent price all in banded and posted, considering a single thera bandset is going for about £5 these days!
  5. Rocks are abrasive and scratch your bands as you let rip. Tbg is great performance wise but as said already they don't last long. My last set went at about 150 shots, which is about just enough for me to get used to the bandset!!! I really like green 2050 tubing, it's cheap, reliable and consistent. Haven't had any snap on me yet, and I had around 500 shots out of my last 2050 set which snapped the pouch. It's a pain to tab them but as single tube they are about the equivalent of 20-25mm theraband singles. For something stronger you are really looking at orange/green dub dub
  6. I can sort you a yew natty out with theraband gold on for £15 posted, something like this
  7. I'd love to do it but it would have to be with a bunch of people. Imo you won't get far with just yourself or the Mrs.
  8. Nice one jimmy. Not sure what I'm looking forward to more seeing the finished article or seeing what she is capable of
  9. Nice one Phil keep at it, springers are well worth the effort. It's all too easy to be lazy and grab a pcp, but they take all the fun out of targets. Few more weeks like this you will be putting these groups out at 45yds.
  10. Not a fan of Abu multis , I've had 5501 , 6501 c3s and 6601 c4s and I've got a 5601 jb edition and they are a bit agricultural compared to even a basic 301-401 size shimano corvalus. I do like their closed face feels though and would have them over the daiwa versions any day . Fairplay, I've never been lucky enough to use a Shimano multi, they looked the dog's b's. I had some Shakespeare ones that were naff other than a gold lure one that I can't remember the name of. Had a 6500 level wind on a jerkbait rod that was bliss.
  11. Talking of quality reels, if you have ever got into sea fishing you will understand the draw of an Abu 6500, especially the green mag elite. Nothing quite like it, although the daiwa 7ht is good
  12. Contact a lad called Nick hegarty on facebook if you can he has plenty of good birch ply catty's.
  13. Nice one fella. I think all the worry about self tuning goes once you have opened them up and you realise they are pretty straight forward, it would be very hard work to un knowingly make them worse. The trigger block can be more of a pain in the HW's but after your first go at it they are just as easy as anything else.
  14. Nice one Rez. A bit more fun to shoot than the heavier springers I'd say, a properly 'handy' gun. Coupled with some sfs tuning a delight I imagine. Are you planning on doing some youtube for it?
  15. Sell the hw100 matt lol Lovely groups. Been thinking about the welsh willy kit recently. Has it affected the power output? And how well does the spring guide fit the spring? Cheers
  16. Atleast you got the bull in the end jimmy Nice one bud, I think the 35yd will tell them apart my money is on the AA field but if it's particularly windy them biz mags could just pip the others
  17. A cracker this one. My old rifle. Good luck with the sale bud, and a bargain too. Just don't let Mark Williams know that it is putting out full power lol
  18. There's only one way to settle this. Throw up your chrono readings lads
  19. Watched it last night rez nice one. Trigger sounds a bit, er, iffy? Would be awesome to retrofit a rekord to her
  20. The dianas have a good rep, and the 52 is some beast. Should be as good as any tx once fettled I'd imagine.
  21. Are you fussed for the walnut stock? It sounds about right for walnut, but the beech ones can be had much cheaper. The Cs walnut stocks look quite light to me, I think it all depends on the particular bit of wood they use and how it's treated
  22. Slow cook then finish em on the bbq after being marinated?
