  1. Had a good session yesterday got out early doors, river was low and clear. Fished a fast snaggy run first had 20 puls grayling to 1.5lb on maggot with the pin and an Avon float, mixed in with a few trout. No sign of the chub, probably not enough cover so I moved down to an overhanging willow, couldn't fish the float because of a strong back eddy so I opted for the maggot feeder, first fish was a grayling. Followed by trout up to two pounds, must have had over 20 trout by the end of the day. Plenty of small chub followed when I started casting really close to the willow. Unfortunately no big ch
  2. Had a scraper 20 ghost from Leeds Liverpool, we had some cracking fish out of there mainly on floating bread, dog biscuits and method feeder/hali pellets, think the EE's have been at them now though
  3. Quick update. Tried trotting with bread for a couple of hours tonight, first time I've tried it. Loved it, foul hooked a grayling plumbing the depth lol, then followed by two nice trout, followed by plenty of missed bites and two small Chub. Should be out trying again on Saturday so here's hoping...
  4. Where you based Jok? Fenland is supposed to be full of em.
  5. Crazy that jimmy. Nice one for posting this fella
  6. Sorry to hear that. Maybe give a different antihistamine a go like piriton? Were they worms bought from the tackle shop or dug yourself?
  7. The only place you don't need one is at the coast
  8. Love the fishing out that way plenty to go at usually hit up 5 bar gate myself
  9. You might need a day ticket for ullswater too.
  10. The river Aire has had two recorded catches of sturgeon. The biggest was 160lb+
  11. The result it gives me is 0.037, think you might have overlooked a zero perhaps? I think I remember seeing a bc of about 0.023 for faps, so even 0.037 does seem high, I think jsb exacts are around 0.032. If I were you I would try it again at min and max hunting ranges, I.e. 5-45yds or something similar, I think that would see the bc drop a bit more
  12. Nice! Always fancied trying that. Get some of them blackberries in some vodka with some sugar
  13. Cheers for replies lads tried a deep hole with pellets and luncheon meat last Thursday was very hopeful. Perfect swim, big overhanging willow, big snaggy fallen tree just upstream. Scoped it out a few days before and it had a ton of fish rising around it. But all I had were two good brownies, and plenty of disturbance from kids throwing rocks in. Was hoping for a cheeky barbel but it wasn't to be. Onwards and upwards! Hopefully out tomorrow night.
  14. Sorry lads didn't realise that had been covered in another thread. It's interesting though, I've noticed a few references about for speed and barrel twist, seems the usual airgun twist ratio is best around 900fps, creates a more stable pellet. One of those things that would need uber testing to get any real proof from.
  15. Phil, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QFou_4VqLBY That sort of thing?
  16. I have always wanted to try a hammock... But when you get out for a night or two twice maybe three times a year the bivi bag wins as it will go anywhere. Very tempted though!
  17. Can't beat a night out under the stars. Bivi bag for me though!
  18. I used Faps in the prosport, try and test them on the range too the chrono will help but it won't tell you the most accurate pellet
  19. Any idea on piston size/swept volume etc CC?
  20. Unlucky that fella. Think it's a gonna that. A replacement isn't going to be much of a cure IMO. Was it bought like that or has it taken a hit etc?
  21. AA S200 with mag conversion should be on your list, nice light gun.
  22. Sound just means you don't need to buy umpteen tins of pellets to find the right one
