  1. When will they bring out a .044 magnum?? You have to love .177. Problem is you get used to one cal and then that's all you can shoot! I feel sorry for these boyo's that own everything under the sun from .308's to .22 air must be a right blag. I wonder what the biggest gap in trajectory is?? .17HMR against.22 air pistol?
  2. Really fancy one of these! Anyone got one in there garage? Should be good for camping too I would have thought
  3. Well nothing much to report folks just an oppurtunist shot in the back garden. This fella was helping himself to the seed put out for the wee birds and there seem to be plenty about so I had him. About 15yds with the prosport and 7.9 accupels.
  4. Set up a garage micro brewery.... Maybe buy something that you know will hold it's value?
  5. Nicely done Bernie, glad to see you getting some serious customizing done, the barrel looks great. Apologies for not posting pics of the strip, I never got around to doing it. I've not picked up a rifle for a couple of weeks due to a house move with some serious renovation needed! Been a back breaking nightmare to be honest. Sounds like you have the rifle stripped though now? Hopefully going to fit a different spring to reduce the preload. It's currently at 3-4 inches which I think is causing a very harsh recoil at the moment.
  6. Love my prosport, it's a gorgeous gun. My 99 is a break barrel. It has just a slight bit of droop which means I need shims on the scope to be able to zero properly. The prosport doesn't suffer from this at all, it's super straight. Any decent fixed barrel should be fine in this department
  7. I have found the H points very consistent too, nice work
  8. Very nice. Some nice custom bits on it too
  9. Good luck with it mate, it would be a shame to have such a looker not running perfect. I got a ptfe sleeve for my 99 from the bay. The only criticism I have of the hw is the trigger is a little far forward- this is where the prosport excels.
  10. A word of warning there the tinbum kits are based around the factory springs, not the v mach ones. I bought a tin bum kit for the my prosport that had a v mach kit already and it didn't fit. I have the factory spring and it fit's that perfectly. Like the sleeve, if the spring guide and tophat are already a grew fit you shouldn't need to change them
  11. Nah mate leave it be in that case. A sleeve will probably cause more problems if everything is a tight fit already
  12. That is lovely. Sleeving will help make things smoother but it won't tame any recoil. They are great for springs that are a little loose in the piston, stopping them from rattling about.
  13. Bloomin eck this thread is pretty funny!! We just plan set meals by what we need every 1-2 weeks meat can freeze so can some veg and other bits other stuff in the fridge it will last plenty long enough. Tins/dry food just a small stock we spend 60- quid a month. Just defrost stuff on the morning it's going to be cooked simples
  14. That is rather consistent! Very nice. Try tighter and looser pellets too. I had some really wild variations in power when I played around with this.
  15. Good luck mate always great to see springers working as pest control.
  16. .22 mate. I'm personally thinking of getting a .22 barrel for mine.
  17. Well done Bernie it will be a corker. I'll get that strip down guide sorted soon. Rimfireboy I was just going to comment on your scope choice. I have owned one and I regret letting it go, a brilliant scope.
  18. Your pulling out some seriously old school pellets rimfire boy. Keep up the good work!!
  19. Good Job there jjm fooled that sqizzer good and proper
  20. Ey up folks! Just wondered those who shoot springers out there how you are holding your rifle. In particular your front hand. The reason I'm asking is that my 99 is pretty light and snappy, and seems very hold sensitive. So I've been researching how to get a more consistent hold and figure out how some other shooters are holding there's. I came across a video about the artillery hold. His front hand was butted up against the trigger guard, the rifle completely balanced on his hand. He even went as far to say that particularly sensitive rifles benefit from having there centre of b
  21. I think this is in Doncaster. I'm about 75% sure that my rifle club are having a bit of a stall there, raffles etc. I should be going!
  22. Gorgeous that, bit of a large frame for me personally but a cracker all the same
  23. Yes mate a little jumpier than the prosport, but faster too which I think has a good impact. Well impressed with the power. Put it this way a pellet placed on the turret cap of the scope jumps a little when fired but doesn't fall over or slide off.
