  1. Some cracking replies already Just to add to this lighter .177 pellets can become unstable at range (have a look at teds holdover youtube vids) and they can be very susceptible to wind drift. Light pellets fly fast and slow down fast.
  2. Haha yes your added to the list threelander
  3. Lovely mac not sure about the scope though mate just looks a tiny bit unbalanced 50mm lens??
  4. Going to be attempting some NV rat action on the prosport this week so I'll let you know how it goes
  5. Cant or no cant doesn't explain a big group. Relax, back to basics, light hold, consistent hand placement. Parallax is a bitch. Low mag will help, as will shorter eye relief, and focus the objective lens so the target and cross hair are crystal. If you still have big groups then it's not your technique.
  6. Sorry buddy Just in the process of arranging pick up with Colin, if the sale falls through though I'll let you know
  7. That's great Colin. I'll drop you another pm regarding pick up
  8. Hw99s in .177 flavour. I'm letting this go as I'm currently saving for an engagement ring (I know please don't mock me ) I had planned to really kit this out but time and money had the better of me. The gun is relatively new as you will see from the blueing and stock quality. There are however a few things that aren't perfect. The blueing on the base of the trigger block (where the safety is) is scratched, so if you need it perfect then it will need re-blueing. The piston seal is slightly cracked so it is best replaced. The original spring was bent (under far too much pre-load) so it ha
  9. Just a heads up I recently had the safety on my prosport snap, and had a look around on the net for spares with no look, even chambers were out of stock. Came accross smooth shooting who machine there parts. Probably not the cheapest part, but didn't seem expensive. They were very good with email contact and the part arrived quickly and it's been really nicely turned out- much nicer than the standard safety. Turns out they are Yorkshire based to boot and it's a bit of a side job they do on a weekend- but a very professional outfit all the same. Maybe worth a look for some of you who are lookin
  10. I have found them good pellets too but Ideally need higher power than 12ft/lbs to make them open up properly. RWS super h points open up much better.
  11. The prosport is ace.... For me. Everything about it I love. Even that underlever I was always under the impression the was really an Fac gun. If you take a look at the quoted powers from v mach kits, txs prosports 95's etc are all around 13-15ft/lbs, ergo you can't squeeze much more than 12 out of them. But the ? It's like 22. 22! Surely a little too far away to run 12 properly? I suppose it could be short stroked...
  12. F flies klinks and grey dusters... Are there any other dry flies out there?
  13. Aye cheating indeed but effective on short sessions! It was just some none descript spinner, fairly heavy black body with a silver blade. Black spinners always seem to do well with trout for me
  14. Had this from the river today, I'd guestimate about 3lb, put up a hell of a fight. It was quickly followed by another around 1.5lbs from the same spot. Had two well undersize early on. Not bad for an hours spinning
  15. Some shape on that? Does he think he's a carp?
  16. If you do it why can't he? Simple answer. Anything other than you stopping will make him hate you, trust.
  17. Very generous I'm sure someone in need will be thankful
