Another little gem. Got into a bit of bother which made me unable to play No4. Went and took a referees course. First game. Wellingborough OG'S against my own club. Bit of a local derby. No 7's got a bit ansty to the point where I had to intervene. Whilst having a word with the opposition(biased slightly) I turned to meet a fist ,generally meant for the other guy. Knocked out but still the Ref. Came to, had a word with both skippers and carried on. Got banned from East Midlands RFC. Wonderful game.

Well guys, once again I am totally gobsmacked. Worked for a family the other week fitting windows and could not believe the smells coming from the kitchen. This lady introduced me to the SOUP kettle. What a change that has made. You put the ingredients in, bit of salt and pepper, top it up with water, select the version of what you want as an end result, and hey presto, 21 minutes later you have it. Absolutely brilliant.

Thank you for the comments. I know I'm not alone with this scourge , but it still begs the question, what is the little shite and how do we eradicate? I ain't one for moaning (too much) but when everything else has done so well it needs an answer. One of the guys even hinted that he might not bother again with onions and leeks. What type of a garden would that be? -
What an abysmal, horrible, rot ridden, grub infested shite lot of Onions and leeks I've grown this year. That little brown larvae beetly type thing has really thrown me a wobbler. The ground was perfect, weedfree (as much as can be expected). Now at this time of year I'm churning out faggots like they're going out of fashion, but the whole idea was to use my own produce to reduce costs and ultimately help towards the running costs of the allotment. How wrong was I there? Unfortunately the other guys have, to a man , had the same problems. Is this regional? Now, I'll listen to sensible critism

You pick some places. Little Glasgow. Stewarts and Lloyds had a lot to answer for. All the Jock shipbuilders having to find new work in the Midlands. mattyg. In my yard there are a bunch of guys who do the line clearing. That is, any trees that are likely to cause problems. Now I don't know where in the Midlands you are but I reckon you could get a hell of a load at the right money. No promises cause I don't know but if you want I'll give it an ask.

Walshie. Just had a thought which you might find amusing, Playing for Northampton Old Scouts and we had a Sunday Cup Match against Lakenheath Air Force RFC. There was a coloured fellow playing on the wing and by crikey he was fast, so much so that our 1st team 14 couldn't bet near him. Now this is where your Ben comes into it. They had obviously drafted this geezer because of his speed but forgot to explain the TRY rule. Simple as. Get out with someone who knows the ropes. It is not hard to grasp the fundamentals but takes a lot of time to learn the fine details. That little animal underground needs to be understood and you will learn a lot from listening to the ground sounds. Also, a good dog is pretty much essential. You will definitely have more success in the company of a good marker and ultimately that dog will nail what you might have missed. I don't agree with the comments about winning the lottery to fund your pursuit. It need not be overly expensive because all you have to do is meet the right people

Wierd.?? A pal of mine has the most in the know contact in China and indeed produces, imports and sells an amazing range of products. I was rattling on about Mk1 locators breaking down and he said he would sort it. Problem is, they couldn't. Don't know why but their man said NO. Now I reckon your best bet is the local Nottingham man who does repairs. Buy a box that's only good for spares or repair and let him loose with it. He also supplies collars which only slightly differ in the beep. I reckon someone on here knows who I'm on about and will give you detials. Good Luck. Going out ferreting. -
Sorry. Going on from that, my mate and I run a Mk1 and Mk3 when we are out and surprisingly I can get a signal from his collar. Food for thought??
