How about four of them Merlins attached to a Lancaster skimming over Ladybower Reservoir while practising for the Dambusters Aniversary flight? I was in the middle of the reservoir in a small boat doing a bit of fly-fishing when the modern day Guy Gibson flew over. My underpants had to be discarded.

I didn't know much about Moyes until I read a book called 'The Nowhere Men' that is about football scouts. Brilliant read and part of it was about Moyes time at Everton. It showed him to be a very, very good manager with limited funds and little to lure the up and coming stars to join. I was impressed by how he worked. Then of course he joined the biggest club in the world and it all went pear-shaped. Well, actually it went pear-shaped before that when he joined Manure, but it didn't get much better at Sunderland

The best thing that Mou did was to get rid of Rooney. He was toxic. He was on a massive wage and playing like a donkey. As soon as Rooney was shifted out of the door things picked up. Then the clown brought Sanchez in and they now have exactly the same problem. But Woodentop and Mou in the transfer market were like a couple of kids in a sweet shop. They bought absolute rubbish and then wanted Daddy to buy them new ones to replace the schit they'd spent £millions on. It will take Manure at least three years to undo the bad work of Mourinho and LVG. Fortunately they have some good youngste

Nah - I'm crap at this game. I spend hours and hours checking form and crunching the numbers then make the wrong choice. Half way through last season I was in the top 40K. Then 6 weeks later I'd dropped below 400K and I still don't know how the feck it happened ? Keeps me quiet at home though. Wife barely gets a word out of me all winter. ?

Set budgets for each position, for example; GK £9m £5m & (£4m) or £4.5m & £4.5m DEF £30m £7m, £7m, £6m, £6m, (£4.5m) MID £41m £12m, £9m, £8m, £7m, (£5m) FOR £20m £8m, £6m, (£5m) But prepared to be a little bit flexible as you balance the expected PPM (points per match) against cost. Of these budgets allow £4m or £4.5m for your non playing positions, but don’t worry too much about selecting these bench warmers until the pre-season has given you a clue as to who of the cheapies will be the best buys. Look at the

Quick guide to Fantasy Premier League. Squad is 15 players using a budget of £100 million. 2 goal keepers 5 defenders 5 midfielders 3 forwards Maximum of three players from any PL team. You then pick 11 to play each week and the others are substitutes who will automatically come on if one of your first team doesn’t feature any pitch time. You must field three defenders and if one doesn’t play a substitute defender will take his place. Otherwise you can pick whatever formation you want 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 are popular formations. Also

"Liverpool showed the importance of a "proper" centre back last season, Van Dyk was outstanding, a real presence all over the pitch to be honest...is Maguire that man? " In a word; No VVD organises and bosses the players around him like a rampant pit-bull. Maguire is more Sgt. Wilson. Traore is supposed to be fast. He pushed the ball past VVD and sprinted after it. VVD turned 180 degrees and beat him to it. Maguire hasn't got the speed of thought let alone speed over the ground. But it isn't all about VVD. Allison made a mega impact on Pool's defence too. Between them they almos

I wrote a beginner's guide last night, but it disappeared when I pressed the Submit Reply button. I will do another when I get home tonight.

Paint it using marine grade gel coat if it offends the eye. Also, if you put on a thinner grade sheet on top of the 450g /m2 stuff it gives a smoother finish.
-
Yep! Buy some 450g / m2 fibreglass (about 6 times the area of roof so you can overlap and put at least two layers on) and some resin. It is dead easy to do and as long as you overlap the edges it will be waterproof for years.

It's the best kept secret in France. ? Well worth a visit, but you need to book by November to be sure of a Cinescope ticket. (We are only 40 minutes west of Limoges) -

Cheers Gnasher. ? The place is called Puy du Fou and it is located in the Vendee in western France, just south of Nantes and about 6 hours from Calais' https://puydufou.com/en?language_content_entity=en Within the Grand Parc there are at least 7 or 8 shows that are unmissable. Some are done at certain times, two or three times a day, such as the bird display. The Roman Amphitheatre is usually once a day and there are some things that you can access at any time including a WWI trench that you walk through and come out of the other end shell-shocked. All in all you need 2 or 3 d -

I am surprised that there are no other forum members interested in this. It is a good craic through the season.

We used to have an apartment in Polis which is in the Greek part, but on the northern coast and was the front line when the Turks attacked. There are still bullet holes on the church from airborne strafing. I am surprised that the island is not yet united as there was a massive softening of opinion during the 15 or so years that we visited two or three times annually. At first opinion was very polarised, but as time went on more of the younger ones began to express sorrow at how things had turned out. I love the place.

What do you think he''ll make of the rumours of Moyes going to the Toons? I mean. Walking out on the biggest club in Tyneside The North East The World and then signing up for some poxy Premier League outfit. He'll be as mad as his arsen venger.
-
No, he'd just field a team of ex-Sunderland players. I thought that with all the pundits on here there might be a few fantasy players.
-
No, not Sunderland's chances next year ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz Anybody doing the Fantasy Football next season? https://fantasy.premierleague.com/ If enough are interested we could have a league.

A few photos from a trip to the Puy du Fou in Western France. There are lots of scheduled attractions including a birds exhibition that involves around 200 birds ranging from ravens, storks, egrets, vultures, buzzards, kites and other raptors all in the air at once. The handlers move about in the crowd so there are birds the size of a hang glider skimming over your head. Part of the show involves releasing an eagle and a peregrine falcon from cages suspended under a balloon 200 foot up. They stoop to a lure. Another show involves a Roman Amphith -

Couple of years and I'll be hanging up the traps. Ideal job opportunity for a semi-retired pestie. I only do about two days a week at most and only moles. Got a good customer base with regular contract work. Anyone who wanted to do more hours and branch into wasps, hornets and rodents would be a millionaire by this time next year Rodney. ?
-
I've never had a no mole - no fee guarantee bite me on the 'arris, but I once pulled out of a job after catching about 16 moles and couldn't get to the end of them. The location was on the outside of my patch and not in an area I usually work or travel through, so it was more hassle than it was worth. That was about 6 years ago. Normally I would be in and out inside three weeks to clear a large garden with a one month call back guarantee for any new activity. Very rarely have I been called back - until this year. With the continual wet weather extending three or four months longer than usual t

Find an estuary and give the mullet a go. Also flounder will take spinners when fished slowly close to the bottom.

I use a Shakespeare Salt Beach Rest. Other than it being blue which I don't mind, it is ideal. Very sturdy and easy to set up. What I have done though is to drill through the top bar and fit some quick change adapters on the opposite side to the rod rests so I can choose to turn it over and use bite alarms when needed.

Christ! These cutbacks in mental health services aren't half spoiling forums. Another one for the Ignored User List.
