Myxi is a very long cruel death for rabbits and to think that it is legal to use it is beyond me these do good clowns should look at this instead of worrying about country sports if these clowns had their way they would ban coursing rabbits tomorrow but its ok to let these rabbits suffer a pitiful death the same with riffles it's okay to shoot animals in the dark and wound them leaving them dieing for days and nights I think the government got Myxi their blind and very thoughtless

Rabbit hunter I think you are wrong what you say about the breeding is different with dogs and racehorse personaly I think it is very much the same with racehorse they must have a good mental attitude to want to race to become a winner the same with a terrier and as for breeding a good specimen I think you need it in a terrier in a lot of ways especially one that has to work in the morning walk on a lead all day sometimes in bad weather and worked again that afternoon . No I am not very interested and I don't dig with strangers especially off here and if I'm truthful I have seen one plummer work . I just hate people talking rubbish of how u need a special terrier to kill rats and they have a hard bite and all the shut and that's all he's trying to do in his own little way is big the plummer terrier up for something it really isn't in my opinion the plummer terrier is in a very bad state in my opinion

Plumber terriers have good noses because of the beagle in them and stamina and their hard jaws to be able to kill big brown rats. I wonder if we had a infest of them giant rats what terriers would then be used especially if they have burrows that terrier and rat can fit down I don't think it would be many plumber terriers that could do it because they say their frightens of the dark and could they handle being bitten till dug too but there again they can kill hundred rats so they might do it or but there again have they been bred to go to ground I think I would use a different breed easier f

I wasn't looking for a debate I didn't start the rubbish about a big bit and my post is as I think it is .why make a poxy rat out as something it isn't you started a debate with u r first childish post and personal I think rating is good for starting pups to work you can sometimes see good in a pup when it as a rat but it wouldn't put me off the pup if it wasn't very interested in them and as for terriers for rating being failed earth dogs well they sometimes are not all the best with u r rating nothing personal either it was the way you put it across and watch those rats when their in a block

The brown rat very weak animal sometimes couldn't survive in a cage trap in a night of rain the average brown rat can open its jaws a massive centimeter it can be killed by a miniature Yorkshire terrier with one fatal bite they are sometimes hunted by plumber terriers which owners think they are special because they can catch a rat and fight with it till the rat eventually loses the mighty battle and then as battle after battle with other rats

Rat hard bite.? And I don't give a terrier any respect because it's a good rater because most breeds of dogs will rat and kill them in numbers so I wouldn't big a dog up because he can kill hundred rats in a day but u r intitled to u r opinion as I am mine

The problem with them they not bred for a purpose anymore most were just left on commons to breed with any specimen and then taken to the market for the meat trade and then sold for a tidy price which didn't do the quality of horse any good and now the trade has gone and there is a lot of shot about

I always leave my terrier off the lead when trying a place.often seen it pass a well used entrance and squeeze up a tight dead entrance and up to the quarry. As said it would be ideal if all terriers travelled empty earths to check them fully but imo some terriers just won't. Hopefully when I'm out and about I don't leave much game behind me but ud never know ☺ keedy sounds like a very useful terrier to have.bet she has proved a good few other terriers wrong!! I think you would be better off with a dog to do a job that has been bred for hundreds of years to do why mess about with a terrier that to be honest I don't think would never do the job the lad wants the dog to do half so good as a half tidy spaniel
