    There are still a lot of harrier packs in irland Neil and I know foxhounds will riot on hare but in time will be broken and has for the harrier they can never be broken the same and what you find harriers look for hares foxhounds don't

    Nice photos of hounds but by jesus you can see there's a touch of harrier but know body will admit it they got more leg under them than the early fell hounds . A old friend of mine hunted the Vale of lune harriers and I can recall him saying if they caught a hare it would be on the first two fields after that it would be almost very uncommon and he also told me a harrier would hunt anything it could even hunt your granny up a path amazes me why they keep using them in Ireland to hunt foxes when they spend a very long time trying to stop them hunting hares when a foxhound is more fox orientat

    When the light comes in the quarry will become lot more aggressive can the dog cope with that there is no easy part at all 1 find 2 bottle up 3 stay how do you know the quarry hasn't moved on when the dog could be baying a meter or 2 away let's face it most of the time if the quarry can get out of the way and get to a block end if possible it will but without listening to what's going on below and digging to dog and know what has happened to dog on previous digs I'm not going assume anything

    The big names didn't sell as many dogs that people might think people will bread 5 times away from a dog that came off a big name and still say it's a big name dog how many people will say this is a big name dog and the big name hasn't bred a litter for 30 years most big names would keep their working line and sell their pretty line

    It should have been stopped as pups love these clowns in shows that think it's great for their dog to be pulling on lead to fight other dogs when a good smack is what they need. A lot of dogs do it because their kept on the leads from pups and never left off lead to socialise with other dog and left to learn their position in life

    Most people that pay hundreds of pounds for dogs starting out can't be up to much because you would normally start off young go with someone local u r old man's mate anything you would do a bit with them and then the time would come you would want a pup so the first person to ask then would be the guy you have been digging with he would probably sort you out then with a pup then off either him or someone he knows well and then you got a start but if u r not up to much and untrustworthy with dogs they won't sort you out then so out comes the wallet buy a nice bitch and cause u r not up to mu

    Some people just doesn't realise the effect money as on the working dog or they just don't care when dogs are bred for money there is more chance of them being bred for the money not the outcome of the pups working ability
