  1. A lot of the ones who voted for brexit also voted the way they did for the very same reasons.
  2. Thanks a lot guys, it's your knowledge and enthusiasm which has actually sparked my interest in air rifles, I already own shotguns and a rimfire but really got a nagging pull towards air rifles now listening to you lot ! My HMR is actually a right handed one as far as the action goes but the stock is ambidextrous I find it makes sense when using on sticks and after all these years I won't be able to swap to shooting right as it just doesn't compute in my brain even though I played sport to a decent level in several sports playing right handed and could pass of either hand in rugby, shooting
  3. I think most in the UK want Scotland to be part of us, problem is that vile creature Sturgeon is poisoning everyone against each other, problem will be that the next time it may be a case of us saying we don't care for the drama, do whatever you want and let us know the result.
  4. Yep but I was sort of thinking of second hand bargains if they come up.
  5. Bit of a silly sounding question but I'm a left handed as is my youngest girl but my wife and eldest daughter are right handed, none of them have ever fired a gun but my wife is interested in trying it out and my children are mad keen on going out with me shooting with my HMR and 12 bore and the natural progression would be to start them off with an air rifle, of course I would also want to play about with it and use it around the farm yard on rats etc. So with funds being the limiting factor how much of a handicap would it be for me being lefty to use a right handed stock with a raised chee
  6. Had to chuckle when the owner of the dog said it would be harder to win the section as the judge was a breeder and would be more critical !!
  7. With lighter mornings and warmer weather on the way I thing I would be taking to my garden at about 7am after their late night parties and be putting the radio on nice and loud ( about how loud they are in the night ) and make as much noise as you like, even better if the neighbour the other side did the same. THEN go to Welsh reds idea and get a few hunting buddies around at 11 ish and loiter around the garden a while and see how that goes, they may decide its not worth the hassle of keeping you up if you stop them from getting some peace when they have a hangover as well to deal with.
  8. Oi Mark, you should know by now every time you post up pictures "our" dog should be in them...........
  9. Got a nagging feeling the Scots could get something out of the game, their front row seem to be steadier now after a few games together and Price seem to give them more of a go forward type service where Laidlaw almost pauses before passing, England need to find some form fast, our pack could be a bit under cooked after the non contest with Italy plus our backs seem a bit disjointed we could be up against it especially as we seem to need 20 minutes to realise the game has started. Could be the game of the weekend.
  10. Agree I would never buy one of those when you can do better and cheaper, a screen build can be done for under £100 for the parts and get 300 yards no problem. I've got a sub 50 quid build on the diy section of nightvisionforumuk.com (excluding illuminator and batteries). And that is good for 200 yards with an as pull t20. Bigger ir, a better camera, bigger stock mount battery pack instead of on board 18650's and it becomes a £200 build that will go over 400 yards. Ah was that your build, looked just the job, was tempted to use that in a spotter build and definitely will if I get a

  12. Price played well enough to keep the shirt for sure, to me I would of had him in from the first match and put Laidlaw on the bench but then no one else is as rock solid as him kicking.
  13. Wouldn't we all like a female silencer at times....
  14. It could be worth chasing up that your Dr has done the letter and sent it off, a lot of them hold them back until payment, mine was held up for 4 weeks with my letter sat on a desk in the docs with me assuming they had sent it off.
  15. No, he may of gone a bit far but Italy disrespected rugby by playing like that, do it for a few phases maybe but to avoid playing the contact area just to keep the score down wasn't good, especially with so many people now asking about promotion and relegation couldn't see a proud nation like Georgia playing like that. The ref saying he was a ref not a coach when Haskell asked if he knocked players into the ruck would sort the problem out, yet he coached the Italians before the game by telling them what not to do in the situation and he also lacked consistency in reffing something he hadn't
  16. Well Socks, Feck this lot, I was impressed .
  17. Isn't owning a dog against what being a Vegan should mean as that is exploiting animals for human gain or are they cherry picking the bits they like and dislike of the cult ?
  18. Re: "the national picture".... Corbyn has negative ratings in EVERY demographic - young, old, North, South, Leave, Remain, rich, poor and every group in between. He even has a negative rating among people who describe themselves as Labour voters ! I can't see how that's a "strong position" for him..... I didn't say it was a strong position for Corbyn? I doubt he would even be leader in this hypothetical future when the dust has settled after a GE defeat. The point is even if they lose a significant amount of seats being able to rebuild from the position of still being the second biggest p
  19. Labour are beyond being in trouble at the moment, only peoples habit of voting Labour is getting them so many votes and is giving them false hope that they are relevant, no matter who you support the country needs a strong opposition and not one who gets laughed down in parliament, just look at what Blair and Brown did as an example, completely bolloxed the country because the Conservatives were a joke at that time, we are still paying the price now for that and imagine what state we would be in after a term of two of Corbyn ! Laugh at UKIP all you want, they are not a lot more than a focu
  20. So Labour are finding comfort in the fact UKIP came 4th !! pretty much an outstanding victory for Labour then !
  21. To be fair you couldn't get much more of a safe seat for Labour winning though, haven't they always held this seat ? Just don't mention the other safe seat.........
  22. Had a look when he took it out the box, thought that it might be ok when he fitted it all together from the bits he didn't take out, 30 mins later he still didn't put any more bits on it........... Really not for me as I not even like anything without a nice wood stock but can see some people will like it.
  23. That does look smart especially with the dark wood. Just remember to zero it in before going out after tinkering.
  24. Old age is shit, just bloody shit......
