I like .22 to be really honest. I think its a super calibre and does just what I need it too.

The new ultra is on my list... that adjustable stock is what its being crying out for.

Went up the fields today, same place as the oak tree shown in a previous post. As I got closer to that same large oak, I bloody started playing hide and seek with a grey. He saw me, edged over the other side of the what was large branch, I sneaked round, he edged over the other side... and so it continued... Question 1, how long does on continue this? Little shit I was in fact hoping to sit with me back against the tree but there was no way I was gonna do that knowing that there was a possible target directly above me. I had in fact planned to bag a few birds from a nearby tree, but

I used JSB's in mine which as twenty two, but being as the rifle is of the old school, there are many that love crosman premiers. I'd also look at the H&N FTT too. Your calibre may influence your choice. I'm using JSB again in my .20, and they group like a ducks arse.

Another one rating the new Hawke models. Superb aren't they. Only have the Airmax 2-7's myself but there good enough to have three.

Yes mate. Utterly yes. Nice choice of cal too. Mk1's are one of my top three. Get yourself on the rapid owners club forum, leaks are common and they help you ID the issue.

Massive distance there my man. Nice.

No idea yet, only watched the first few seconds to be honest as I wanted to get it on THL. Plus, watchin telly so I'm not allowed sound on until I get my head phones on looks a bit techie to me, 'American' maybe, with the tactical action and the what looks like a weaver rail. I also don't like that shitty looking dull chrome to the safety etc. I'll watch it in an hour or so. It'll be as accurate as the standard without a shadow, so it's more for what people like in terms of looks.

Git... I'd literally just copied the link to this to post

Bisley make decent pellets all round, and you tend to pay for it. The pellet needs to be matched to the gun/intended use. The Bisley Magnums are good, but heavy in all calibres, and "generally" best suited to higher power guns, for instance 30ft lb + in .22, below 30ft lb I would suggest lighter pellets, there are several around 15-17g worth looking at! Start putting a heavy pellet in a .177 and you start losing what a .177 is all about, and may just as well use a .22. My experience, whatever works for the individual in their situation is the answer. One of the best

F'kinel Deker. Must of took you about 10 mins to sort that post out. Not sure if anyone cares that much Sowa. Whats your thoughts on Bisley Magnums? Peace.

What would that 1 inch board be made of, 100ft lb .22lr will struggle to go through 1 inch of "decent" wood at 50 yards! Iv seen them go through ply wood at a lot less lbs than that but what do i know you have all the answers mac

The only one init? Sound pooch. Love dogs.

Ive never been a big fan of magnums, right old school pellets. They must be doing the job mind, been around longer than me. A few of my FAC buddies swear by them, a 40ft/lb rapid will put them through an inch of board at 50yards. Not much gets up after being hit. Come to think of it, Im not sure he knows what wounding means...

V'man brings it all down to earth with a bang, as usual

Iv got a picture of it in my mind still 20 years later! I used to be airgun obsessed as a kid and john darling was my hero! Airgunner mag was my full weeks pocket money so no sweets on the new issue of airgunner lol. Your remember the article, no idea which it was where John was pointing his mk1 up awards a bit but it had that old school silencer on... The one where half dropped below the barrel a bit (don't know the actually model but it was the original moderator for the rapid mk1) think he was after pigeons and it was printed in black and white? Then there was an article, always reme

Can't find an image of it anywhere... Lost to the history books. But yeah, that's was the thing a friend had and shot starlings on the wing with it. No more than 15 yard. God I miss my youth and growing up with air guns. Bloody HW80 eluded me then as it does now.
-
f****n 'ell Tom, yeah man!! That's might of been it... God I wish I'd kept all my old air gunner issues. Your right to, it was similair to the 707! I keep seeing them 707's and I'm like Jesus I know the look of that from somewhere.
-
That's is one I've not seen... I'm on about one from the 90's when I was about 10. I'll see if I can source it.
-
I'm not sure myself on the concept, not the cost. I wouldn't want to be settling down to a shot and think shit, am I canting the rifle? It could just throw your mind set. Especially with a springer when there is so much to sort out... Say your on for the shot, just about to squeeze the trigger and stop, have a look down, your cantering the rifle... You make sure that bubble is bang central, opportunity gone. I know that will be a rarity but it's just another thing to think about. I do however, set my vertical alignment up with one, so if the vertical crosshairs 'look' off, I'll adjust
-
Nope. Never attempted it. So can hardly be surprised. Years ago there was an air gun released that was like a shot gun, god knows what it was called, I know a friend of mine used one to good effect against starlings back in the day of coal at my nans.

Like these ones?
