Alright Chris. Yeah, to be honest, its so big Ive always just stuck to the areas I know well... but I must branch out a bit more. It basically a 10 acre, I think, working land and the owners grows bits an bobs for tescos or something, but its got an industrial side too, the shed and so on over the other side, but I find theres more dog walkers over that bit and I dont want a dressing down, even though they shouldn't be there Get back on your hunting posts man, aint seen your stories for a while.

Permission runs down there but I havent even had a look yet. Got the rifle out of its slip about now. Wondered if there might of been a rabbit or two, but no joy. I did see quite a few on leaving though, but rifle was packed up. Another day. My destination... Bit of a sitty tree that gets some usage during cold sunny days. Quick makeshift hide. It'll do. Set up at the base if the Oak above. The view. The result. Bar one magpie. Tough little sods are tree rats... one took two shots to the brian box, and still would not let go of the branch

I decided to get myself out for the afternoon today... I was over at a local perm on a roost shoot on Wednesday evening but didn't take my phone, shame really as I had a good old bag, so thought Id go today to another permission Ive shot at for years now and 'just go'. No real idea of what game Id target. I took along my HM and my 97, obviously, and set about the usual routine... targets at various distances first, then have a wander round. Its sounds a bit wet but I have too take my 97 and shoot that first on every outing... I just have to god dammit! Its kinda like a warm up hour I suppose.

Meets never happen NV... We're all worried actually about how shit we are at shooting

Missed the edit time but I also notice the blades a bit different, is it standard rapid? Might just be curved a bit further forward. Is it a mark2? I think it is. Can't stop looking at it

Nice Mac. Pen nearly out of ink?! -
Not prepped my birds like this for ages, normally just breast um. Whats your methods for the oven? Bet they take no roasting time...
-
Nope "not biting" Nice shooting ftm and nice to see pigeons prepared for the table too. Pigeon, or anything else, shot correctly with an air rifle is lovely for the table compared to a gun with two barrels . Only saying like. So true. I took a few birds off a keeper before xmas and f*ck me, there were a mess internally.

AA Fields 5.52 and Exacts 5.0.

I only have my 100 in 177 now, so could do something with that but it might be pointless... everyone bloody shoots 177 now and everyone defiantly knows how accurate they are.
-
Yeah, get one mate. A nice old springer and a PCP in the collection can do no harm.

Dont worry CC Ive not forgotten the offer from when we met

Well, you touch on a good point re the mag. Ive found its a design flaw. Like all rapid magazines, they work on gravity, and when aiming up wards in a tree say, take a shot, pull the lever back to load another, pellet falls out the back of the magazine. [May have told you already in pm] Annoying but not enough for me to not like the rifle. Ive also found that accuracy is A LOT better hand loading the breech. Shocking how much it drops off though over ten yards. Especially being so flat from 20 to 30.
-
Seems the .20 has it benefits, flies like a 177 out to 35yards but whacks like a 22, drops off like a stone though, more than I thought it would. You do have a good argument for the pellet weights though, heavy 177 and light 22's. A while ago you asked how the HM was going, seems to be settling in. Still new though and getting used to it. https://youtu.be/haNVceO9_OI?t=632
