  1. Im not sure Ive spent 'that' much myself. < I started with that but after typing the rest and adding it up... Ive 'only' [Not that many compared to some of you] owned about 10 rifles, each one average 450-750, plus my HM @ 1300, thats 6K. About 10 scopes, bought some kit like gun slips, rangefinders, targets, pellets, pellets, jesus, they can eat into the funds... a tin a week, 60'ish quid a month, 700 a year. Yeah, so its about 7-8k.
  2. Like mark has said... Have a little think before dishing the beans out. You'll be lured into thinking your a half decent shot if you jump straight on the PCP route All the best with it though. Be nice to see what you get.
  3. Is the second mate. Your first point will be around 15-18 ish depending on what your using of course.
  4. Welcome Luke. Go with whatever you think mate, for cost, get a springer, learn how to shoot it, you'll be a better shot for it in the long run. Nice little 99/Hawke combo would suit you down to a tea and it'll bang the lights out of all the quarry you highlight.
  5. Golden spot. Most of my fields are all tatuz or cabbages... No stubbles like that. You do know you best hit 50 + now your on the money with ya research.
  6. You f'kin sod! Id chew my trigger finger off for a farm perm like that. Invite me up for a foray
  7. Just watching some of the old John Darling hunter videos, originally on VHS, now uploaded to the tube. My god, well ahead of his years. My old man bought me this VHS from some small, very small, family gun shop out in the sticks in about 1994. Watched it about a thousand times. Think I still have it at dads place. Anyway, if anyone thinks they know more than this chap, please... Let us know. If you wanna check um out, naturally search John Darling on YouTube. No doubt most would of seen. But I've never learnt as much as I did from this VHS as his book, of which I have. Still. Big
  8. It's a learning curve Phil. Keep at it. I struggle to get out at night as the mrs is sure I'm off to see another bird.
  9. Small bag for you there the best ones though, them good evenings out. Don't really matter about the amount of game shot. Nice Mark.
  10. Have to say, one of the better looking pups. If not thee best. They haven't f****d about with gizmos and stuff. Just done everything simple but well. Looks a million times better than the ghalihad thing, which probably cost AA 6 x as much at the dev stage. I'd have one if I was getting into the pup route. In fact... How much are they?
  11. From a quick reckie I would assume its a 95...

Your right. I do yeah. I plan on a 97 outing soon though... Go for that more so in the winter months. For some reason.
  14. Out this evening from 6 til 9.20'ish. Just wanted to get out the house for a bit. Didn't care if I saw nothing, as long as I wasn't stuck in doors. Set up shop in a leafy area of a small crop of woods, on the less windy side of the permission assuming the woodies would want a bit of shelter from the bashing winds, but still get the warmth of the sun. I missed about 4 sitters... me, the wind, the amount of leafage... no idea. I hoped Id be able to shoot up into the trees, assuming the birds would head for the centre mass away from the wind, but the f'kers just swooped in low and behind any
