  1. I have owned two first cross track greyhounds and both had suicidal prey drive. one I raised running in rough terrain in the hope he would learn to negotiate it but he just seemed to hit everything flat out. The other I got as an older dog and I am not sure how he got to be an older dog, as he was the same. Both seemed to deal with injuries later and never learned. I wouldn't say either was fragile just no thought of self preservation and these were first crosses not pure. I have known, many years ago, a young bloke who would work his friends failed ex track greyhounds, give them a 'chance' so
  2. Get rid of the wife and get whatever dogs you want...
  3. I have a Lebanese friend who told me in Lebanon they have a record of if the genetics are getting too tight and they are advised not to propagate. If this is true, it shows government intervention is not unheard of for genetic well being. The same friend told me they do not have this system in place in Australia and therefore the high number of down syndrome and other genetic faults in the Islamic community over here. I would like to know if this is the case in any other countries too if anybody can confirm. Atvb.
  4. Sambar deer, aka the ghost of the forest, I would love to see a real big, smart, magnificent buck close up and how he thinks and moves. Edited to add even better would be seeing a tiger hunt the above mentioned buck as avoiding tigers in India is what made them so smart and elusive.
  5. If they legalised it performance would always come before safety
  6. I think you would want the same qualities you would want from a good bull x with a bit better feet, coat and nose if you are lucky. As stated though if I had access to good lurchers to breed with I would personally prefer to use something like that and probably save myself time and hassle.
  7. I would love to have something like that in my kennel. I am sure you will have a lot of fun with them. Atvb.
  8. Thats like saying murder is part of society,we will never be able to stop it......so we might as well legalise it. If we give up on the rules of sport then we give up on sport itself. I reckon there's a big difference between PED taking and murder, how do we tackle it then? Making sure the agencies that test for them are properly funded and independent would be a start Making PEDs legal to use would open up so many chances for abuse it'd be a disaster, young kids just getting into sport being pressured to use them etc I agree it would be a disaster for sport and kids who did not w
  9. And why do you think you have such a right to be the judge of what is right, normal and decent? You must think that you are so perfect that you set some sort of benchmark and those who are not like you are paranoid lunatics. From what you have posted here you are an arrogant and judgemental person with delusions of grandeur. Could it be people form different opinions because they have had different experiences to you? Could it even be possible there are people out there who know more than you? I don't know if that is possible for you to comprehend but I suggest you give it a go.
  10. I have found this thread interesting as my bull arab (aussie boar dog for want of a better term) more than likely has bullmastiff in his genetic make up. He comes from a long line of boar dogs and has no known health issues, very stable, is a shade under 100 lbs at hunting weight and is a very good guard dog. While he has never shown a bad sign to my kids I would never leave them unsupervised. I have no experience with guard type dogs and i am not really interested in them, my bull arab seems to fit alot of the criteria mentioned here. I think some people who have posted on this thread would f
  11. There's plenty of white muslim converts mate, no doubt some will need transplants at some stage. But its not just that, as Wilf says they could do a lot more to improve health in general, clean the place up, agree to a sugar tax, ban f***ing tobacco, close all the Mc Donalds...ect, stop people carrying genetic faults breeding, or limit them to one child...........but no mate, their answer is to guilt trip everyone into allowing their organs to be used for spare parts to prop up their failings............Just state control. You must be a wild man Truther! I can appreciate your non conformist
  12. I don't see anywhere else in the world where people are being slaughtered in there thousands and I don't see any where else in the world where they are now fleeing by several millions. Fearing for there lives. Do you? These people are inoccence of war and there has never been such a movement of people since ww2. It doesn't matter what I say as it will not make one difference. Me personally haven't got enough years left in me to (as you say) save the world. But the unesasary slaughter of people who ever they are needs to stop. And with people backing asad it will never stop. Fa
  13. Give me something tuffty please. It is decent to want to help these Syrians but why only them and not the hundreds of millions of others in need? And why don't you even acknowledge that they could (almost certainly) add to a major problem that already exists? I also want to save the world but what if my methods did more damage than good. I only ask you take this into consideration and I honestly hope you can do some good in your life.
  14. I like your positive and well thought out opinion and I cannot criticise anything you have said. I only hope that this measure is not the beginning to an end of some of our freedoms. I give credit to your style though.

  16. I am not REALLY taking the piss,a little maybe, but not much. I never mentioned colour and I %100 agree colour should not be an issue, but culture should be protected imo. As I said I think a line should have been drawn a long time ago and it is clear to see by anyone with an open mind that the culture in uk has been affected enough already and is only going to be affected more. Charity is a good thing but not at any price and inevitably there will be a point the UK will not be able to provide any more charity and the same problems will be in many parts of the world. I feel no joy in ANYBODY s
  17. I basically have the same view as apbt, first x might be good but I would prefer a quarter or eighth.
  18. And, just curiously, what do you think should be done with the refugees who are taken in and commit crimes? As there is no doubt there will be a percentage who show their appreciation by breaking the laws in their safe and charitable new land. Would you be so noble if you or your loved ones are victims. I am genuinely interested in your reply.
  19. Your intentions are honourable tuffty, but unfortunately unrealistic imo. It would be great to save the world but at some point you will have to draw a line or be swallowed up and lose your identity altogether. I believe that line should have been drawn a long time ago and now your identity will probably be swallowed up and turn into a place similar to where these people are fleeing. Do you know how many misplaced people there are in the world? Are you going to save them all by letting them into the UK? Or do you only want to help these Syrians and the rest of world's innocent victims of war h
  20. I was going to say that is because you are 35 but Malt blew that one out of the water!
  21. 425903_581461101872586_1297874887_n.jpg I think your line is bred a bit tight there....
  22. I like the sound of all that and I wish you every success. I hope you do add deerhound into the mix as I would think it would add some benefits. Good luck and I hope to see what comes of this.
  23. Beautiful pictures, I can only imagine how much more beautiful it would be to actually be there. Thanks for sharing.
  24. I hope I haven't offended you or anyone else aka-brindle but sometimes it is unavoidable as I am sure you realise, I enjoy some of the content you post and I have enjoyed this thread ALOT. I did not mean to take aim at anyone in particular, I was simply hoping to hear more of yours and others knowledge and experiences of the apbt, if you are stepping aside I guess I failed there...
