when you say it dosn't seem to be as accurate as it was what sort of accuracy you getting from it ? how many rounds have you put down it ? have you have it a real good clean with solvent to get all the copper out. if you have then ring round a couple of places to see what you can find for a price with fitting. i would have a 22/250 ai that would be wicked if you wanted to keep the same caliber but with more power. there is a lad on the bbs called dasherman i no he has built some cracking rifles in all different calibers and they all give super consistant accuracy. he is also v

i have the annie 1517 heavy barrel i like heavy barrel rifles better as i like abit of weight. my 22/250 weights close to 12 pound so i guess a heavy barrel hmr feels light to me. best thing mate is go see which one you perfer the feel of one thing i would say imo is go for the shorter barrel 16inch. its more compact and accuracy wise nothing in it. maybe lose out a tiny bit at 200 yards to a longer barrel but you wouldnt no the difference anyway. plus how offten would the rifle be shot to 200 yards

couple of 50 yarders with 12ftlb air arms s410k in 177. and a dove at 60 yards with a neck shot on a windless day. he was sat on pole out in the field on my shoot. but i was hide in the barn with a bale to rest on so the rifle was dead still.

turns out he worked for the guy he killed and was seeing his daughter he got sacked but beg for his job back. which the guy gave him it back. then i dont no the rest but just go's to show how much help he got off his girlfriends dad and this is how he repays him. what a :wankerzo4: for doing that i hope they lock him up and throw away the key the coward -
mite be able to get a older aya for that amount in side by side
-
i still like the privi ammo. yes its about £8 for 20 but is very accurate. yes it depends on the rifle but its worth a try what makes me smile is if your rifle does shoot well with them they shoot very well with them
-
forgot to say also how many rounds you used ? have you cleaned the rifle with proper clearner to get the copper out the barrel. you see that could be it also
-
agree with above. if i where you i would see what its like with factory ammo to 1st least you no then where you stand. could be your oal of the bullet your mate has done for you ? i no my mates in his 222 was over a 1inch at 100 yards then he seated the bullet in more and now is getting 1/2 at 150 yards ! so it payes to see how it go's. could be the powder to you mite be ruuning abit high ? you see some people get super accuracy with a load but want it abit faster so they up the powder and get the speed but then the groups open up ! its trail and error i guess ? til you find the right

trouble is mate if he has had a clean record before he went for fac the flo looks at him like any other person that hasnt been in trouble. no one no's deep down what everyone is like. but i agree with you about him being a scumbag no matter how bad life is you have no right to end anyones life like that -
heat doesnt really affect rimfires mate only centrerfire rifles. like deker said its down to choice
-
thats surprizing as savage are reknow for beeing very accurate rifles. what ammo where you using ? what scope was the mounts tight on it ? have you got a mod on it ? how old is the rifle and is the crown in good condition on it. what groupings where you getting at 100 yards

yes when the fields have been cut is good. but to be honest it can be a number of different nights. gone out with friends some nights and have seen a load then on others where the nights have been the same weather and not seen much. i think it depends more on the time they say a fox takes the same track around his ground every night. i would say the best we have found for us is around midnight when the sky is full of cloud. when thats the case the night is very dark when the sky is cloudy abit of wind to just make sure you face into the wind otherwise he will smell you a mile off

yes mate the 224 bullets you can buy can be used for 222, 223, 22/250 as for the speed that isnt everything mate accuracy is what you want. after all what is 3800fps if it isnt on target ! you will have to work up the load 1st you cant really just start with a high fps as it could be a danger in your rifle and to you if it was to blow. as for the lighter bullets there good as there nice and flat shooting but 50 grain would be better i think. as for 70 grains it would be pretty hard to stabalise them out of a 22/250 as the twist rate is more suited to lighter bullets

i still have one of the old ones cracking little rifle and it had a cut out stock

It's the new CZ Silhouette in HMR with 20inch barrel (available in 16inch barrel as well), I already have the CZ Silhouette in .22LR and very happy with it. Nothing wrong with the gun...just me and confidence...it is a budget package, JSR 4-16x44 Mill dot Target scope, Sirocco Mod, and sweet as a nut...all in including a slip, sling and extra magazine under £400...excellent VFM! ( I did push hard on the deal) Oh yes....the trigger was s**t compared to the .22LR (original trigger) so went direct to Eric Brooks and bought the trigger upgrade, £8.32 delivered!! hi deker your only goi

if you want fast try 40 grain nostler with 34.0 grains of varget powder. its very accurate but not over doing the fps so your barrel will last longer. but will still be good for around 3600fps from a 24 inch 1 in 14 twist. 50 grain vmax will shoot well to again with varget powder34.6 grains will give you around 3600 fps again but will buck better in the wind. and hit abit harder.

dam that is steep ! but if you want them then you got to have them maybe a reloading kit would be good to get mate
