  6. as for mounts depends on what rifle your putting it on ? if its rimfire then a good pair of sportsmatch will be fine. just make sure you get the right ones so the scope clears the barrel at the front.
  7. jewell trigger for sale brand new in pakage. its for all model 70 winchester rifles. best trigger on the market most say ! full adjustable on the rifle so no taking the stock off to adjust. £160 pound posted thats £40+ pound saved on the new prices over here ! can be picked up from my house in worcester ,west midlands NEW PRICE £150 POSTED
  8. Cheers DeerStalker, looks like I'll be investing in a SAK then Are they strippable to clean? you can strip the sak to clean it. the older model had grub screws the new model you take the front off with a with a spanner.
  9. the 22/250 is more veratile then the 220 swift. for a start in it will be better for a number of different loads. there isnt much choice in rifles for 220 swift as 22/250 yes 223 will reach to those ranges but you got to no the drop and be sure you can hit foxes at that range otherwise you mite as well not bother getting it. i like 223 but i perfer the 22/250 its flater and needs less hold over. which ever hits foxy it wont matter he wont be going anywhere
  10. i have tryed sak,whisper,dm80,carbon mod. and the dm80 is the best to my ear and to the other 3 guys that was there that day. down range is the same but the blast at rifle the dm80 wins hands down. its much better then the sak and for anyone to say it isnt im surprized. the only way you can tell properly is shoot with one for abit then the dm80 and then after a bit go back to the sak and your tell the difference very easy. i havent anything to do with dm80 mods but just givening mo on the best mod. anyone that lives close to me is welcome to try them out
  11. the rifle is a cz452 american that i hacked down to 16" and the moderator has no plastic on at all...will post a pic of it if it helps????? I guess they are talking about the nylon bush as found on the likes of some reflex such as the Predator 8 and T8. Jet z just screws on the barrel end as far as I am aware!! Anyway...other than £300 centrefire mods it does not seem too hopeful of getting anything effective to fit on a HMR!! yopu dont need a centrefire mod on hmr its to much money for not alot of difference. i would have a hmr mod from dm80 so its made for a 17 cal hm
  12. you can get a hmr cleaning kit for the hmr from rimfire magic. its only around £17
  13. good going mate im off out tonight for a look with my 22/250 and my friend with his 222
  14. the shear amount of scopes mtc sell tell's you there there popular. of course there is allways going to be the odd scope that go's wrong. i wouldnt think twice about buying one again ive had mine over 2 years now been on all my rimfire and my centrefire rifle and never had one problem
  15. havent got a semi auto but if i did it would be the cz511 is more then likely the one thats going to be the best out the box rifle. but to be honest why not just get yourself a new rifle and stick to bolt action there more reliable and accurate
  16. dont no if it has much affect john but i allways take my bolts out the rifles. and release the spring on them so there not under stess all the time.
  17. i would have the mtc the crosshair system is great for rimfires. ive used mine on 22lr,hmr,22/250 holds zero perfect. there customer service is spot on to.
  18. give the local pound shop a go or your local hardwear store your be surprized what they have lay about
  19. that seams alot to me mate you mite as well say £15 for 50 rounds but if needs must then go for it because by the time you have payed fuel to get them cheaper somewhere else it would have cost you more in the long run.
  20. as above dont leave it in the slip it will get the dam in if left for any lenght of time. i leave my rifles in the cabinet in there slots and put a couple of the vapour shield patchs in there with them
  21. i just zeroed it then boresnaked it. then had some more shots to make sure it was still on. then i leave it till it go's off again soon as the groups open up boresnake it again and go from there.
  22. as above but i would start with eley subs. mine loves them ragged small finger nail sized groups at 60 yards
  23. cant beat a bit of hound x terrier
