hi dicehorn what 22/250 have you got mate ? i will be using the 50 grain bullets trying nostler and vmax. but i have been told the 52 grain amax is very good to and even though there target bullets im told alot of people use them on fox to ? and they do the same job as the vmax ? Hi Jamie One is a Blaser R93 Luxus the other is a Remington 700 tactical with H & N stock with triple crowned barrel and Jewell trigger I actually use the 55 gr V max - this IMHO is the weight this calibre was designed for the remmy is 1 in 12 twist isnt it ? mine is 1 in 14 im sure so 50 mi -
stay calm and make him see you no about the rifle you have gone for. a good think is to print a map off of your ground if there is any foot paths on it. that way you can show him you no where they are and it shows him you are on the side of safety by knowing the lay out of your ground

FAC theoben eliminator. Please help

thing is mate are you going to be hunting alot with it ? if so then you want the best accuracy you can get and im not saying the gasram rifle isnt accurate because they can be. but it takes some getting use to shooting a fac gasram powered air rifle they kick pretty well and are lively. i think you would get better groups with a rapid or daystate pcp or even a nice s10 fac. you have to look at the pro's and con's of both ie... [pcp pro's] 1. accurate as hell 2. a good amount of shots per charge [ depending on power setting] 3. very silent with a good mod 4. well fac air is h -
well after having my jewell trigger sat here for months i had it fitted today. i took it to richard pope in bromsgrove the guy use to work for webley venom and now work for himself. it took him just under a hour to fit as the trigger needed abit of work to fit. and then the stock needed milling out for the action to sit back down in the stock. then the trigger guard needed milling to he only charged me £30 which i think is very good with the bother it took to fit it. the trigger is superb and is factory set at a just over 1lb i think ! and safe we boltede it fast to see if it went

MORE EXPENSIVE.... That's the Ordinary version without a Dimmer this can be had for £79.95 from Uttings, making Uttings £10 cheaper!! What you get is what you chose, everyone has an opinion, pays your money and takes your choice, but several people I know who bought units WITHOUT a Dimmer switch have soon decided they made a mistake!! Shining a gun mounted light Off target is going to make hitting the target hard, and a hand held is a nightmare if you are alone...just something to consider, but like I say the choice is yours!! thats why ots best to go with someone they c

Thanks for all of your replies that ballistic calculator seem abit difficult think i will zero in at 65 yards set a target up at 50 then 60 then 70 and so on. then see how any clicks up on the scope you need over the different ranges. its allways nice to no so when your out around spots you no the range of you can adjust quickly
-
i would zero with subs at 60 yards. 75 yards seams abit far really as not all the rabbits will be that range most hand around 50 or 60 yards. and if there under that then the zero at 50 or 60 wont be that bad. but a zero at 75 shooting at 30 to 40 will be abit much
-
lightforce for me i dont bother with dimmer. if you have a pretty good scope you can keep the fox on the eage of the beam and the scope will pick him out easy. or just have the beam below him abit. i dont think you have the time with the dimmer sometimes.
-
the zeiss i have coming has the no 4 crosshair mr l. i have gone for that as i have heard of alot of people its easy to lock on in the lamp. im glad you like the s&b there optics are in a different league to the cheaper scopes.

Try Reloading Solutions - they have a vast array of items for the shooter and send out pronto and are helpful on the phone yes went there last saturday and he has a ton of them in. for different rifles so im sure he has one for yours. the tube ones are better then the ones you put in and pull the arm down to lock. they fit the gun better but still have the port to tip the solvent in if needed.

depends on model and barrel lenght. secondhand is the best bet. you can pick the bruno model of them up secondhand for around £120 to £150 pound. or the new cz ones for around £200 to £240
-
300? is that not sounding like a fair price i dont no what the costs are mate. but thinking about it i would say £300 is alot of money for that ! i would say £200 max depending on barrel size and lenght i guess ? and how much work the gunsmith has to do to prepare for it.
-
a new or secondhand cz bolt action will do the trick. get a brooks trigger kit fitted and the trigger will be sweet. or you could take a coil off the standard spring and that will make the trigger abit better. as for a scope a 3x9x50 will be fine or something like a 4x12x44. for the scope rectical then thats up to what you find best ? ie... some like standard 30/30 others like mil-dots and others like line mildots like you see on the mtc scope and swarovski scopes. as for fox then the 22lr will kill one but shot placement is a must as is the range. if its for the odd fox then yes bu

hi mate you can get the two stage trigger for the anni but its extra. i think most people that have shot air rifles for a long time like to carry on using 2 stage on there rimfire and centrefires when they move on to them. i like 2 stage triggers but when there adjusted right. i dont like a real long 1st stage. but of course we all like different things and you got to pick best for your shooting and what you find best

Mounting a scope and a bipod
jamie g replied to Paddywoodcock's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
It is a 20 MOA scope rail and this would only need to be fitted if you were going to be doing some long range shooting and would need the extra elavation. your right mate but if you did have it on then you would properly find it hard to zero the scope at normal ranges then say 100 yards -
just check the barrels are fine no pitting and that it locks up nice and snug. there is one for sale on the bbs site cheap

sepends really on the build. if you want better build then you get the wildcat. i have one and a dm80 and i think the dm80 is the in between the two the build of the whisper better performer then the sak and a mid way price between the two
-
the build mite not be as good as the annie. but the stock on the hw is alot better then the annie stock and the grain is lovely. the annie ones look like crap. as for the triggers yes there nice but i perfer the annie trigger as mne is single stage. it can be adjusted for pull and weight and being single stage it seams to break more easy. that said value for money then the hw has to be up there with the annie and the sako
