  1. Got me made to measure slip lead of Gaffa today, and the quality of the leather and workmanship, for what I paid, is top notch. Would definitely recommend for any leatherwork
  2. You can keep them on there own, but if you want your ferret to be healthy, body and mind, it's always best to have two. You see a lot of single ferrets walking there cage, like a demented zoo animal, even if still worked regularly.
  3. Brass bell painted with above paint (g10).
  4. The wire ones are good for removing sticky balls and such, they come on gloves, which I find better than on a brush.
  5. I'm shore there are plenty of books out there, but you better be quick, because the f#####g gready b######s are striping the forests on an industrial scale, and selling it in London for crazy money.
  6. About now I would say,for avery kept birds (Nov-Dec) after Christmas the price can go up,and with the cold weather the old or unwell will be showing signs there not right.
  7. Just get out were and when you can, over the years I've had all sorts after me,from keepers that chased you for hours, mad farmers wife with a shotgun,c###s that want to kill you or your dog in there 4x4,or what seems like the entire police force, with a couple of helicopters for good measure. But it's all part of the buzz 20 years ago if caught it was a silly fine nowadays if cought it can f##k up your life. So my advice go were you want, just don't get collared. Happy Hunting
  8. I think they only grow in very old forests So there must be a lot about, just a very well kept secret.
  9. Give him time to lurn his trade, he hasn't seen much by the sounds of it (9 runs). Start judging him after 10 x that Good luck and don't forget Happy Hunting
  10. Only the man that fixed the brake, can give you an accurate out come, but the same thing happend to a beardy pup, of about the same age, and she made a full recovery. Good luck Hope she mends well.
  11. Yes, if you use one bit of advice from the book, that avoids a trip to the vets, you have saved money, a very handy book to have.
  12. If your unshore get it to a vet, if your skint go to the PDSA, if it's been removed it will need a couple of stitches and antibiotics.
  13. Was a very popular cross many moons ago made good workers and the show lot had them also as they won a lot of Rossetts. Happy Hunting.
  14. If it was rats, they will be back so beware .
  15. If anything the animals in England, down south have longer summers and shorter winters, so should be healthier/fitter. I know this is the case with carp, the further south you go the bigger the fish get,all down to longer summers/eating better for longer. Just a guess..
  16. Thetford, Newmarket,Swaffham, just to name three places down south that ant too easy to catch, at the proper time of year. There's hare's all over England that on there day will mug 99% of the dogs that run them
  17. Shit happens fella, normally at the worst possible time. Hope your dog has a quick recovery.
  18. A dog/bitch in its first hunting season, is very rairly steady on the slip, I have also found that bitches are more eager to please, and chill out far quicker than dogs.
  19. Some areas have been so badly poached over the years, unless you know the farmer/gamekeeper you haven't got a hope in he'll of getting permission, so if a bit of coin can get you in, good luck to ya fella. I always asked nicely, got showed the gate, so poached the f####d out of the place. Always used to run the long ears Christmas day (got to be a right bad c##t to get you nicked Xmas day) Happy Hunting
