The Magnificent Seven (2016).., not as good as the original. Platoon, first time in a while. Still in my top ten of all time.

Also known as a Shore Lark I think, winter vistors so I think it’s safe

Buy it. Very low mileage for the year and looks very tidy. Nearly bought a grey one years ago, same as you shied away because of their reputation for being troublesome. Regretted it ever since.

Conor Benn to fight Regis Prograis at welterweight on the farcical Fury comeback undercard. This is the opportunity he couldn’t turn down and is touting as what will be a “statement performance”? Really, I suppose it depends what sort of statement you’re talking about, but fighting a 37 year old who’s campaigned at light welter his whole career, and came up short of the top 3 times now, is hardly moving up the levels…, but I’m neither impressed or surprised by it. Piss taker.

How many ______ does it take to stop a bullet? Guy shooting larger and larger caliber rounds at random sh!t. I really need to get out more. Yeeyee!

Ian Huntley the Soham killer attacked in prison.....

“Fighting for his life”.., I actually hope he survives, but with some horribly debilitating injuries, and lives in constant fear of another attack. Cnut should have been slowly tortured to death long ago. -
Found half a dozen frogs or maybe toads squashed flat in a car park earlier…, couldn’t tell which they were so pancaked. I guess on the move now from hibernating to spawning ponds. Thought it strange they’d all perish in a quiet car park, and wonder if maybe the crows have done them in but only eaten part of the carcass.., especially if they are toads?

Lasted a minute of it…, and was reminded of the saying: Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. This is where we are, and hard times are in the post. Some of these weaklings will be first up against the wall.

The world’s truly gone mad. How can a purse of $380m be raised for a fight between two old men? Obviously they were greats in their day, but they’ll be nowhere near that level now. I certainly wouldn’t pay to watch that.

Are there any other type?

English people. Okay, not all English people.., but some. And some Scottish people. The people who get right on my tits are those that have ‘discovered’ the beauty of Scotland, its landscape, flora and fauna and are spreading the word through blogs and vlogs on youtube and every other platform out there. Recently it seems everyone has to have something on their ‘bucket list’, whether it’s climbing Ben Nevis, eagle watching in the Western isles or the wretched North Coast fcuking 500. The best bit for me was always how quiet and remote some places were. Some of the NC500 route you could drive o

If I were cynical then I’d say he meant it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to highlight the condition, and for Davidson to get 15 minutes of worldwide fame. I don’t think he meant it at all though. As for seeing it coming…, a blind person could have seen this coming (apologies to any blind people who might be offended by that remark.., and apologies to any black people who’s sense of superior victimhood was triggered by my apology to the blind or partially sighted) but then how can you mitigate other than shunning the guy? The BBC on the other hand have dropped a clanger again i

Scottish boys are on a bender, Jamie Foxx is a sex offender Jamie ‘friend to Diddy and listed in the Epstein files’ Foxx reckons the guy meant it. If you’ve seen any footage of Tourettes then it’s often THE most offensive stuff that comes out. Poor Davidson had to remove himself from the ceremony half way through, on the night of his life, probably devastated by what he’d done.

Worked out pretty quickly that with some shops they’d have all the right ones out on display, and some of the left ones would be in the window display.., but usually out the same box. I say usually, I remember one little tea leaf once trying to sell a ‘pair’ that were two different sizes.

Ooft…, rather you than me

Benn now saying he’d fight and beat Eubank at super middleweight. Is that why he fought him at 160 before with a rehydration clause that nearly killed him? No fan of either but a genuine fight at SM I think would be an easy nights work for Eubank, even at 36.

Actor Robert Aramayo won best actor at the Baftas for his portrayal of Tourettes sufferer John Davidson.., bravo, but John himself stole the show with a gigantic ‘N bomb’ whilst two black fellas were on the stage presenting an award. Cue all the panty wetting by the usual suspects, who’ve completely proved why there’s still a stigma with the condition. Hopefully the two guys who might have been offended understand and can even see the funny side of it, as that to me is a big part of acceptance. Oh, and black Tourettes sufferers matter too. Not forgetting the metal heads with their filthy biker jackets.., or by the mid-80’s the football casual scene. Like you say there are little pockets of these things left but they’re usually people reliving their youth. Seen a few videos recently of some bloke singing some of the old ska/two-tone classics with guys and girls in their 60’s skanking away, good for them but it did look a bit ridiculous. Fella I work with is 63 and goes all over the country watching punk bands from back in the day.., or what’s left of them. I think the dance/indie/rave scene of the late 80’s early 90’s was the l

Is this still for sale?

Imagine people in 1926 trying to predict our world. Where moving pictures were a novelty, medicine was still fairly primitive by today’s standards and just prior to the great depression, where even in the developed world men and their families would starve. Try telling them that in a few generations their descendants would almost all be morbidly obese and many would die of eating too much food whilst their eyes are glued to a screen stuck in the palm of their hand which could show them any one of trillions of moving images. Where the ‘war to end wars’ had recently ended, but where we’d

Maybe not in a century but certainly some sort of cataclysmic population crash caused by famine, disease, and conflict to some extent.., which will potentially contribute to the first two. It’ll likely result in major restructuring of the existing social and economic models, but the fittest will continue to survive and thrive, and the weak will suffer.., as is nature’s way. With that in mind, and the fact I’m powerless to stop any of it, and probably wouldn’t even if I could, I’ll just crack on worrying about today and leave tomorrow where it is.

Another memory from being a young teenager in the 80’s, checking footy scores on the viddy printer or Ceefax in electrical shop windows. Sad one the day of the Bradford fire.., remember just standing there in stunned silence surrounded by all these blokes the same.

I don’t think I’m naive.., but then that’s what someone who’s naive would say I don’t believe all cheats get caught, but nor do I believe that means every fighter is cheating. Usyk fought Bellew at cruiser, and made weight at around 198lb. Fight day he’d likely been 210lb at least. When he fought Fury (by now well into his thirties) he was 226lb.., where obviously no cutting for weight was needed, so guessing he’d have fought around that. I don’t think that’s even suspect. The weight gain and obvious physical change in guys like Haye, Holyfield etc. was obvious, but weight and mus

Not sure they’ll need it, England haven’t turned up.

Maybe they were, but how many of those you named failed a test? Oh, and you forgot to put Tyson Fury’s name in there.., his cheating and three years out the ring has been forgotten about by many. I haven’t, which is why I wouldn’t have him near the conversation for best in his era, never mind best ever.
