Then I'll not light my fires and I'll happily freeze to death , so that my wife and kids can sue the government for my untimely departure .
-
Daft question. Are open fires subject to the same regulations?.
-
Now thats two kids that are having a fine old time

R I P Steve. You brightened many an afternoon for me mate .

It's just like something my old fella would have done .

Now thats a character building experience for you

This can do attitude is what made Britain great Sir .

The loaders that work on our trucks earn about £11.50 ish per hour iirc. The problem is that they're pretty much all agency workers , and management drop them for days or weeks at a time , for no other reason, than to keep them keen . The problem is that it has the opposite effect , it leaves them in a position where they can't buy food or pay rent , so anyone with any motivation , just moves on , and all that's left behind is the dregs , that can't get anything else.

Just get a bucket for a toilet , and you're good to go .

That looks delicious

I sometimes think back 24 years to when I first started working on the bins . Half of the old lads had to sign for their wages with a X , because they couldn't read and write , but , they had a lot more common sense than the guys that turn up for work now. The bins has turned from a relatively well paid job , that the lads wanted , into a very poorly paid job , that they really don't care if they keep. Management are all too aware of the type of people that are turning up for work , but the job is so poorly paid now , that they struggle to get anyone at all. Management will car

That's an awful lot of bodies under the ground that were walking on. Not that most will still have any visible remains.

If you try to explain that it's really dangerous, they just can't see it . It's like trying to reason with someone that's blind drunk , but they swear that they haven't had a drink. I used to throw the mobile phone idiots off my truck. I'd give them a couple of friendly warnings, and explain why it's so dangerous (because ive seen too many blokes hit by cars , while theyre fannying about with a phone), then I'd tear them a new one , and say next time , they're off the truck . Some of them were still stupid enough to carry on texting / calling , while they're standing in the middle of

Phones at work really boil my urine. Driving my bin lorry , watching idiots trying to load the lorry one handed , when cars are whizzing around them , makes my ass pucker . I have the same argument with the same blokes day after day . I try to explain that I'm not being a cnut , I'm trying to keep them alive .

It's funny , but I've always been aware of that , and I'm very comfortable with it . Man has been walking the earth for many thousands of years , and in relative terms , it's only very recently, that we've been putting all of the dead people in the same place . In real terms throughout the very early history of man, you either got buried where you fell , or got left on top for the earth (and everything on it) to consume you.

That's pretty grim reading . If you look at the tiny snapshot that's on the news , that they're looking for someone in a small part of the river , and turn up two unknown bodies in a couple of hours , that could mean that, potentially , hundreds of unknown bodies float down that river every year. I wish I hadn't seen it on the news now .
-
It's quite a scary thought really.
-
It's sort of freaked me out a bit , that the police just decide to search what must be a relatively small part of the river , and they've already turned up two bodies . I'm thinking how many bodies must be bobbing about in there , if just a quick glance can find two

I've just been reading that the police have found two bodies in the Thames, and neither one of them was him . How many people drown in the Thames????. It sounds like some sort of horror film.

I don't blame her . One of my favourite breakfasts is rabbit liver and kidneys on brown toast , after an early start with the rifle. I've been a big fan of wild garlic for about six years now. I absolutely love it in a salad.

You can still use the breast meat if you thaw them , then the ferrets can have the rest of the carcass. I use the breast fillets to make curries casseroles etc , and I mince a lot of it as well. I use the thighs to slow cook. I prefer the taste and texture of the thighs to be honest.

I felt quite sorry for them as well to be honest . It's very necessary pest control I suppose. Can you imagine how much they must eat , and how much damage they do
-
You're a bit late now , but if you're ever passing this way , your welcome to some frozen pheasant . They're definitely worth the effort (if you like pheasant). I eat more game meat than shop bought meat to be honest. I much prefer to know where my meat comes from, and know that it's decent quality .
-
That's a real shame. When I ate from there they were excellent. I'm guessing that as chefs get more famous , they spend more time chasing fame , than ensuring the quality of their restaurants.

I've seen his India programmes . He's very interesting, and his food is always top notch. I've had fish and chips at his place in Padstow a couple of times . I could only afford the takeaway though . If I'd eaten inside , I would have had to sell my car to pay for the fish and chips because they're so expensive .
