    I'm I right in thinking the highland reds would be harder for a dog/dogs to catch opposed to a forest red? purely for being a slighter animal because of the terrain..

    Thing is anything can jump in at the end of the dig and take hold and get marked up in the process and look the part.. (Tricks of the trade) lol, The ones we had and the ones I seen 7 in total only 3 would take hold at end and that's about all they could do! On the odd occasion you needed them to travel a couple of foot they would just woffle about digging on the spot when they had plenty of room! other lads may have seen others do better.

    they look good healthy strong pups just how they should be.. I can't speak for all bull/whippets but the ones iv seen where pocket rocket bred and we were lead to believe they was more then capable dogs when in reality they were constantly left wanting.In what way,only curious ,he told me they were bred for ferreting ?in ever way!! Bolted rabbits were also a struggle... Your obviously bitter bout the truth! Which I'm sure if your dog wasn't related to them we wouldn't be having this conversation..

    Fine looking bitch.!!! Mc I would imagine everything she gets behind is in trouble... And for me Id wanna keep at least 50% greyhound in her pups to maintain that's great stamp. Atb

    It's there looks and the hype the breeder promotes that's there down fall, tricking buyers in to believing there capable of tasks that only a good Lurcher can do.. It's not the dogs fault, What people gotta remember is there half bull half whippet... Whippets being only good for sort busts but then your halfing that speed again and adding bulk.!! Bull/whippet/greyhound with a decent length in body would be my choice, but atb with what ever you choose..??

    Hoskers poetic tripe and spud was the worst thing that could have ever happened to Beddy lurchers,all the young tyro,s expected more from their new found "wonder Spud" than their charges were capable of.Spud was a third rate lurcher in a fourth rate kennel,fact.just another case of the pen being mightier then the sword I take it!!It seems the birth off the Internet has given the power of speech to the people who once was on the other side of the fence,,, and now they can give there own option and the heads up on these magazine made heroes..

    run in circles I expect,, lol, but my point he's obviously not straight!! and he will tell you/buyers anything you want to hear even using names of other people's dogs just to make the sale of pups sound more appealing and all in the name of cash£££££ Sounds a great bloke.

    id take what that lad says with a big pinch of salt.. As a friend of mine found out, who went to his place thinking he was purchasing a bull/whip/greyhound by the well know greyhound (razzmatazz) to one of his pocket rocket bitches, he later found out after speaking to razzmatazz's owner that the mating never took place! And it wasn't the first time he used the dogs name..

    Another traditional Lurcher type rapidly disappearing.. My guess is because of the poor quality bedlingtons about or was about..!! Use to enjoy Gary hoskers articles in the edrd mag when it was worth reading about his 1st X spud..
