Ordered some lures and jig heads off Temu, arrived today so i thought i would pop out for a couple of hours and give them a try, 4g jig head and a 50mm green shad, Managed to hook a small Zander that i lost trying to swing in rather than using the net, Then got bitten off by a pike again, That's twice in a week now, Anyway these cheap Chinese soft lures are every bit as good as the ones that cost 4 times the amount in a regular shop,

Tree up Xmas eve and taken down again boxing day, Only do that so the Grandkids can open there present's Xmas day. There is an old book called Legionnaire, It was written by an English bloke called Simon Murray, After some relationship trouble he went off and joined the Foreign legion. Its totally the opposite here, No weed at all due to the amount of boat traffic, Silt and leaves, branches and all manor of crap are on the bottom. The water is always coloured in the winter you might get 3" of visibility in the summer. After heavy rain its zero again, Blanked the last three sessions but hey that's canal fishing Lol.

Its six of one and half a dozen of the other mate, The canals are full of crap so its either weedless hooks or risk picking up leaves and other crap off the bottom, Plus with a weedless set up when i overcast i don't loose the set up Lol

this one is a 6ft pistol grip, brought it off a South African bloke the other week, To be honest i am not 100% sure that i like it. A question for you, is there something like a rubber float stop that you can use to slide up an offset weed hook to secure the bait at the top, tried a normal float stop but just managed to hook my finger half a dozen time Lol

I think for me the simplicity is the thing that makes me interested, Spent years feeder fishing got £1000`s of quid's worth of tackle but to be honest i have lost interest now, This fish and move idea really appeals to me.
