  1. 28 inch barrel and yes it takes 3 inch carts
  2. 3 shot webley 810 black synthetic multi choke, but i only have 1 choke (1/2) in good condition located in the midlands £200 no offers or swops. carnt do photos but theres loads of photos on the net to look at.
  3. ive used remmington subs for the last 6 years with no problems, the main reason been there cheap 6 years ago they were £1.85 for 50, now there £5 for 100. less than half the cost of most of the other subbies. they do the job just the same im not after match accuracy i want something thats good to about 40 yards and does the job, if i was shooting stuff alot further out than that, i wouldnt use subbies as youve only got to look at a box to see they are not going to be very accurate and with them being lead the heads can get damaged as you place in mag and cycle.
  4. worked whippits in the past a more recently the last 10 years or so lurchers, as the lad is mainly after day time rabbits then a pure whippit will be fine as would a small lurcher. its his prefferance. the last whippit i worked was a kc reg bitch called fast lady of meliden that was out of sooty sam and silkcut lady, litter date dec 1994. she was a diamond, no amount of rain botherd her. yes she did get knocked up badly but usually when she tackled quarry that was a little bit too strong for her on her own. but she would never give in.
  5. bull pat that belongs to a lad i know
  6. with whot you want it for, rabbits, small fields, rushes you will be looking for a small type with good initial speed and a good nose. possibly a three quater bred beddy whippit would come close to whot your looking for.
  7. golf courses are also a magnet for dog walkers, bird watchers, walkers. couples with things other than golf on their mind and thats just in the day time, nightime it gets worse. so insurance is a must, trust me if you shoot one regular you will need it.
  8. cheers for the reply by the sounds of it i think im going to stay well clear. There advert looked and sounded impressive though. cheers paulus
  9. cheers phil glad to hear your getting on with the 1517. i know whot you mean, the only time ive tried cci rounds was a slab of mini mags that someone gave me, had numerous missfires with them as if some were short of powder.
  10. anyone tried these there suppose to be a 3 segment subsonic round that reduces bounces
  11. when my first ticket was issues it stated 22rf and 22cf. the same for the mods the only calibre specific was the 17hmr, even after various one for one variation it always comes back the same. infact last week i had my ticket back for a fac air rifle it stated .22, i found a .20 i wanted. rang them up and asked whot i had to do they said no problem just buy it and write in with the details as normal and they would sort it thier end.
  12. god knows why they are only 4 shoot given the mag holds wmr as well, to answer your question i could never find a 10 shot mag but that dont mean there aint one.
  13. even centre fire rifles do it i had quite a few with the hmr depends on the combination of distance, angle of shot and range. people seem to think they dont do it but they do. be carefull is the easy answer.
  14. edge of the cars side window works atreat.
  15. i can sell you a secondhand one with a 4 to 12 x 50 nikko sterling scope for 225, its the 20 inch barrel one. the stocks marked but hey that dont stop it shooting.
  16. Theres an old guy in our village who used to run them years ago he recons out of all the ones he owned only one ever did anygood and that was limited to foxing. and that was nowhere near as good as his bedlington crosses. I think theres pictures of his borzois and beddy crosses in walshes books lurchers and longdogs and longdogs by day.
  17. i think these are being imported by highland outdoors based in market harbourgh, leicestershire. i believe they are a chinese copy of cz actions. i had a look at one a few months ago took it out the box and it took 15 mins to get the bolt to cycle. if you stripped it down and finished it off properly i think it might be ok. as for the long term, only time will tell how the metal used will hold up. the finish of the stock is awfull, there abit like the chinese air rifles you used to buy off market traders. my advice save up a few more quid and buy a cz.
  18. as the advert says cz style 20 inch barrel screw cut complete with scope slight rubbing on front right of stock 250 pounds no offers located in leicestershire.
  19. any diy shop, focus, b and q,
  20. quoting loads of trials dont mean alot it has not been confirmed that they have been conducted and analysed correctly. as i keep saying. try reading work by genichi taguchi a good book to get you started is called introduction to quality engineering. then move on to the two volumes of system for experimental design. at a guess the trials promoting dry were conducted or funded by the dry food manufactures and visa versa for the the raw. wild and captive animals eat raw flesh a have done for ever, its usually some other factor that causes problems.
  21. simple just aply for both wont cost you anymore then youve got 5 years to get them.
  22. my last litter of lurcher pups were eating minced chicken and tripe at 3 to 4 weeks
  23. the variables im talking about are you can not base a result on wether or not a dog showed more or less signs of bacteria just by feeding one group raw and the other not. all the variables not to mention the interactions between these variables are not accounted for. ie if one of the group was less well than the others then the results are biased or if one had never been fed raw before the results are again biased and so on and so on. so whot i am saying is unless the trial was conducted knowing all the pure factors and all the interactions these pure factors are likly to cause, then the resu
  24. its all abit of fun, if you dont like it dont enter. carnt see the problem.
