  1. I'm a big fan of the starlight longbow. It is tubed and is a day night scope. Zooms from 2.5 to 10 mag. I use mine during the day on deer and then click over to nv after dark. Bit more expensive but to my biased mind it is the best of the best of the best.
  2. If I don't have to shoot them, my new favourite game is to see how close I can call a fox in then go, 'BOO'. Oh makes I larf every time.
  3. Hi mate, don't know if you can help me. Could you tell me the tyre sizes? I have one bought of these and the tyres sizes are different front and back but the manual I downloaded from the web seems to say that both should be the same. I need to replace all the tyres so trying to get it right. Cheers
  4. A reasonable sum for the pair would be about £1750, £1800, that is what I would sell it it was mine. Not interested as I just sold one of my archers myself, just trying to give you an idea of value.
  5. And kicking myself, the cat, the wife and anybody who came close within the next month or so. Ouch big time.
  6. Cheers Walshy, Hope you like the 243. I am off out tomorrow to zero in my new one tomorrow. Might even get a chance to use it in anger if I get finished early enough.
  7. Selling my 223. Nice rifle, Left Handed T3 lite 16" barrel 3 mags Picatinny Rail Jet-Z Mod Thread Protector 1:12 twist Sling studs Bullet holder that goes on your belt Bolt Holder 223 pull through looking £750 face to face. Can RFD at cost. Will try to upload photos later.
  8. Bloke over on the SD selling one. Good price.
  9. Federal Vshok 223 43 grain Speer factory ammo. I have 98 rounds of the above factory ammo. Great varmint round. I want £50 for the lot. F2F and your FAC will need to be conditioned for it. surplus to requirement as the 223 is going soon. ps. If anybody is interested in a left hand 223 give me a shout. I will be at the CLA Sunday and can meet there if interested.
  10. Spend the money on quality. If you can't afford new quality then buy secondhand quality. The distances you are looking to shoot to I would not use a cheap scope. I would always worry about accuracy. The adage, buy once buy right. I am always a bit bemused by people who use mildots, particularly at night.(probably my lack of experience). But with a lamp how long do you have to range find find on a moving target? Or is it just knowing your land? I just use point and squeeze and if I need a bit of holdover well, aim for the top of his back at 300 and the drop will have him. But that is
  11. Good points, nice magazine, and nice storage compartment for the second mag and it is a 10 shot as well. Weight, lightest HMR out there. Straight pull, nice. Bad points. Heavy trigger, lightest you will get it is 3lbs if your lucky and 3.5 lbs if your not. I was. Missing rabbits because I was squeezing and squeezing and then wobbling before it finally went off. But if you are into heavy triggers then you are fine. Bolt can open with the safety on and eject bullet. I caught it frequently on my belt or coat. Stupid design fault which should have been dealt with at concept. I now have a CZ
  12. I like the ir clamp. I may be doing something similiar soon.
