I agree any breed can be a liability part of the joys of owning a dog. my mums westy would attack anyone who got into the garden and the postman,no-one could stop her. imagine a 10 year old lad kicked a ball over the fence and climbed over,not a huge problem he might get a nip but he'll walk away fine. now replace the word westy with boerboel,an entirely different situation isn't it? So what you saying ban all large guardian breeds? Why stop there, may as well ban all terriers after what happened in Sunderland yesterday. Didn't you use to have a guard dog? no....w

really? its basically a bandog bred for the chain don't believe the hype about them killing lions and elephants. I don't think I would believe any story of a dog killing a lion or elephant without proof. I once read that boels were used by the white man for keeping the black man away don't know how ture that is. I don't think any dog would be happy sitting on a chain constantly Yeah I agree to some extent mate, but if its all the dog knows.

is that a southern white , ive heard there very good bulldogs , fit,agile, with very strong jaw, pig dogs over the water , but few lines over here as well .? scotts, painter, southern whites even johnsons Will do the job. Depends what you want from the dog Ray. I would like to try a Presa canario but cant see what it has over an American bulldog.

I've had shepherds, rotties, Boerboels in Africa but none compare to the American bulldog I have now. Loyal, reads situations and happy to get stuck in when in the field.
