  6. This was Boxing Day hunt 2014 Once again not a great pic but a great memory This was the weeman a first pheasant he shot while out train training the pointer ..CHUFT PUS One of the best lurcher pics I've seen was an old pic of Butlers of Tiggers sire taken in the snow but that's up to him if he wants to put it up
  7. Not the best picture but a good memory it was the first bit of graft Tigger had after being off for months with a broken leg and 3 pins in his hok ....after his cast came off he was leed walked for over a month then gradually gotten back to fitness ...quarry across some rough plough and I knew this would either make him or brake him ...job done and he never looked back a fukin huge relief for me that day !!!!! Here's a few more I like
  8. Agreed with above ....imo it's down to the man behind the slip in how he works his dog ....putting the quarry with a definite advantage also lets you know what kind of tyke you have .

    Lurcher Dam.

I wouldn't call this a line ....imo a line takes years of selective and close breeding to produce dogs similar in type physically and mentally .....this is just a mish mash of lurchers who have decent blood and breeding behind them owned by lads who have been around the game for a long time and give there dogs plenty and second best won't do .....Morton has already lost 2 out of this litter in the field and he obviously sees something he likes in his dog and wants a decent bitch to attempt to carry these trates forward .

The sire to Mortons dog was put over over his auntie at a similar age because we tried a repeat mating of Tiggers dam and sire but the sire was too injured to do the task so plan b was tigger over his auntie to keep this blood going ....this decision was not taken lightly and I guarentee you there were not many first season dogs put as much in the bag as he did and the style he done it in ...also all his siblings out of that litter were flying ....like has already been said the lads up and down the country running this stuff it's not just a hobby it's an obsession their dogs are truly tested .

Offers nothing but paceAnd prey driveI don't want to turn Mortons thread into the pros and cons of using a greyhound ....the breeding in his dog do not lack pace and certainly don't lack drive in fact a lot of this type have not grown old due to that fact sometimes you need to do what you have to do ..to keep the blood going and if you are 100% sure the dog is worth breeding from at it young age .....how many lads have lost dogs in the field and wished they had bred from them . ATB with your search mate
