    I know what your saying mate but a 50lb atlantic salmon on a 12 ft rod is something specail no matter where it is but there are more bigger fish about in the scandi rivers ....but this 3o pound fish could be the biggest of this whole system this season ....but I have a funny feeling there will be bigger as I have seen a few really big fish this spring and that video of the big fish I had on I think was of similar size

    Normally this would be fish of a lifetime for most but he has had bigger ....by far the best salmon fisher I know he makes his own salmo reels and gets invited all over to fish for salmon ...he is a lad when he speaks about salmon fishing you listen

    It was a decent week ... Back to reality in Vietnam for a month roll on the end of May and get back in amongst them

    That's our week finished we ended up with 13 salmon ....my mate had a crackin fish of 30lb on his 12ft loop cross this is his second 30 plus fish from this beat and has had some 40 plays and a 54 of the Alta in Norway ....

    He lost the fish ....I've had 2 this morning both around the 7-8lb mark ....this years fish seem to be well made bars of silver ...looks like being a decent weeks fishing Second fish of the morning what a fight on the single hander in the fast water

    A decent day so far I have had 1 and lost 1 my mate has had 3 and lost 1 all returned to continue their journey

    Most cock fish have a bit of a Kype even the grilse ...very rare for a cock fish to survive spawning ....this fish was right of the tide you can see the sea lice on its Gill plates ....yes the fish was aloud to continue its journey

    3rd cast today in blustery and bright conditions and this silver torpedo hit the Willie gun like a rocket right out the water and decided it wanted to go back to the North Sea .....what a scrap a beauty of a springer about 14lb ....got the river all week and it's supposed to be dry ,dull and calm with rising pressure so hopefully into a few more ....1 springer is worth 10 back end fish
