Pet owners have been warned about a disease which has killed 16 dogs in the past year. Posters are being placed in the New Forest, Hampshire, after nine cases in the area, with seven dogs being affected in other areas including Cornwall, Surrey, Worcestershire and County Durham. The dogs suffer lesions on the lower legs followed by kidney failure between two and seven days later. Vet David Walker said the deaths have similarities to a disease called Alabama rot which was first reported in the US in the 1980s. He said the cause of this was toxins from the E coli bacteria but this had not yet

ye its only been haperning recently normaly she runs in front of me then comes back when called but tonight she had run after rabit in a feild came back then put her back on lead then i let her off after a rabbit then she decided to run over a main road with me chaseing her for 10 mins and she ran straght to my daughters and sorry shes 9 month :censored: :censored:

I have a 8 month old beddy whippit but recantly when ive taken her out for a walk and let her off shes fine but when its time to came home she does one ive tried long lead in backyard shes fine any advice pls
