I think the dog needs a pair too. Looks a bit like Ness (ie) with that coat

Off at a slight tangent off subject, the ironic aspect of this is they banned all 50 cals in California, just as was recently proposed and defeated here. The situation was the same over there in that hardly anyone had them or could afford them and there wasn't a single incidence of 1 ever being used in a crime. Over here of course they already restricted to gun ranges only. As a result of the ban, the gun industry designed the .416 Barret instead to provide an alternative to the banned .50, which has more range and is a arguably a more dangerous gun than the original .50 cal if you measure it

A week unable to afford potatoes now. You'll have learnt your lesson.

What a slag! He's only had it for an hour and he's already taken it to bed. Enjoy your new love. Hope the wife likes the garage!

Not disrespecting Fred, just the opposite. He's a legend and an example of Northern grit and Spirit.

Yeah it's a strange place the North. We have people who who don't need dynamite but instead like to push entire buildings over: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Dibnah They're hard up here like that. Teacher to Southern Child: What did you father do today? Well Miss he threw a party with rainbows and Unicorns. Teacher to Northern Kid, what did your father do today? Well Miss, he set fire to a building and then pushed it over with his bare hands.

That's crazy. Anyone anti-shooting shouldn't be allowed to join (or remain in) Firearms Licensing Teams or Firearms Teams in general. Justice is supposed to be impartial. The very best people to have in are officers who shoot themselves and that way they understand both sides and all the safety issues. If that's considered impartial the other way, although no reason why it would be as it's not in their interests to let people in who endanger licensing, then at least officers who don't shoot but aren't anti it. You can't have people administering a licensing system if they themselves want

Fox learns rabbits aren't the only prey

That will be a challenge from WJ then considering their reported to allegedly be considering challenging the release of pheasants as non native birds. You'd have thought as a WL expert he'd have known some are living wild and they have been arguably native since the 1800's (or at least global warming). Even the RSPB recognises this: https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/wildlife-guides/bird-a-z/pheasant Although they do say protected by the Wild Life and Countryside Act but then go on to say they're shot! I'm guessing they mean in the close season! Do they take -
For a moment I thought you said crispic: Thought he'd gone Vegan.

If I count correctly int he shadows is that 16 in 1 night? Apart from the cost to the farmer, I wonder if the leave the countryside alone because it balances itself farce brigade would have been worrying about the decline in rabbits and wild birds in the area had the problem not been addressed. Probably would have blamed shooting for the decline!!

The mind just boggles as to what else is in there. To me, this just sums it up: https://www.standard.co.uk/stayingin/tvfilm/chris-packham-admits-he-loves-the-smell-of-a-grass-snake-s-anus-on-bbc-radio-4-a3290666.html -

What he said is hearsay until proven otherwise granted, although not much reason to post that before disappearing from a forum. I don't think the member concerned needed an excuse to stop posting. Believe what you want in relation to the police. It's your cert so post whatever you feel comfortable with. It's naive to believe that no-one ever reads here. -

Full List: https://basc.org.uk/game-and-gamekeeping/quarry-species-shooting-seasons/ Just a piece of advice, the Police read this and other forums. Always make sure you are within the law before posting pictures and details of kills. A member recently fell foul of this when using ammunition that wasn't intended to be used in his gun strictly according to the letter of the law. Luckily he got warned, but you never know what the outcome will be. -

He could tie a paper cup on each end like we used to do when we were kids, and get Charlie to ring you when he's ready. -
Just being pinickity here, but the GP doesn't produce a medical report in a traditional sense ie a report that contains an opinion. He isn't permitted to express an opinion. What he does is check your history and make a factual "report" of any condition that may affect your suitability to possess a firearm. eg On the 28th May 2001, Gollam attended the surgery and reported feeling depressed and had suicidal thoughts. There are 3 further instances of this between 2001 and 2003, linked to the fall of Middle Earth. The GP is not permitted to make conclusions or pass opinions on suitability.

Well this is my final word as well, I'm not going to get into a prolonged pointless argument. I know and have seen of instances where fox have taken birds for a meal and where they've simply killed them. Equally, sometimes an entire pen, sometimes not. Differing experiences.
-
Deker, I've shot plenty with my mates rifle and several with a shotgun. I've also seen entire pheasant pens wiped out in a single night by a fox. (bar any that escaped). Why is it only your experience that counts?

Numb nuts and the silenced 410.
Alsone replied to Sausagedog's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Depending on what they glued it with, it will never come apart. Just for informationla purposes in case you need to re-glue it or anyone else does: I've used Cascamite in the past, and it's been so strong that pulling wood apart actually tears the fibres away from the heart on one of the pieces. The glue doesn't debond at all! https://www.axminster.co.uk/cascamite-powdered-resin-wood-glue-ax21688 I'd put money on you breaking another part of your stock than getting a joint with that apart. When I've used it, I've pretty much ignored the instructions and just made a thick paste. -
I think you must have misread because that's pretty much what I said, apart from in my experience, they often wipe out the hen houses or pheasant pens in 1 go for pleasure rather than a meal. There's no doubt when hungry they will eat and if birds are left, will be back given the opportunity. That's one aspect that makes foxes easy to shoot, they tend to follow known paths and frequent known food sources as you know. That said, they're still not scum. They're a very nice looking and majestic animal with a high level of intelligence and cunning. They deserve the respect of those who take
-
I haven't heard people doing that but if they are then they're the scum. You should always respect your prey whatever it is. Foxes are beautiful creatures and in the right setting are wonderful animals to observe. They also have a place to play in the co system keeping animals such as mice down and clearing up the dead and injured. The only reason we're out shooting them is because there's an abundance of them in the wrong places, and when in the wrong places, such as on a poultry farm, or fields with young lambs etc, they can be very destructive. The unfortunate reality is foxes of

Builders (crane) bags of sand are about £40 each + delivery from what I've just seen - I based the above comment on £70. Based on 3 bags side by side, thats £150 approx. Depending on the building width you might want 4 or more. As for sandbags in front, the reason I suggest that is eventually you're going to chew through the front of one of the large bags and when it gives way, there's going to be a lot of sand leaking out. With a front layer of smaller bags, it will be dammed behind and you can easily and cheaply replace small bags as they wear. Alternatively, you could use thick ply for form

Crows, look too big for crows. You sure it's not those sacred Ibis that are on the new general licences?
-
Depends on what the buildings made of as well. If it's a tin shack then yes, but if it's brick then it's not going through until severely used, although you will eventually remove the wall! Also assumption is the mother of f&5kcups. You can't simply assume that because you have a 40 acre field behind it's safe. What about the visitor that wanders around the back looking for an entrance, or the kid exploring, or the walker crossing the field (even if they're trespassing), or your wife or kid walking around the back for some reason? You always need to know exactly where the bullet is stoppin

Depend if you're Irish or not. Irish mice tend to me more fussy about pass throughs.
