  1. What I did mate I had a dog crate and lined it with chicken wire then put shelves and ramps in. The kits got out for a while but once they where a bit bigger it was perfect
  2. Sorry I look rough first thing in the morning
  3. get a big piece of wood or thick card and test your spread pattern so you know how your pellets are hitting at that range
  4. send some my way I could do with a farmers daughter. a girl that comes with free permission!
  5. Fair play to you mate, I agree with what your doing
  6. I got one from amazon its made by cvlife but its a tasco copy, its identical! the reviews seemed good and it was £25 (3-9x40) mildot IR. I thought for £25 im not arsed if its shit. Im more than happy with it and ive used Simmons and Hawke scopes etc. Before anyone says, Im not for one second saying they are as good as a simmons but it holds zero, it zeros well, crystal clear picture, good IR, unless your putting it on a million pound rifle what more do you need? it serves my purpose anyway and im out 4-5 times a week. If your on a budget I would recommend one.
  7. It wasnt a bad morning to be honest, was there 3 hours and bagged a rabbit and 2 woodies which isnt bad for a perm that usually produces nothing when out with the rifle. its good with the shotgun but everythings lamp shy so you cant get close and obviously passing pigeons are a no go. just a case of being patient and sitting in cover
  8. Like others have said, there is enough bad press for us hunters without police checking what your doing and your stood with a dog saying f**k the ban on its collar, it doesnt give you a good head start really
  9. Well I thought I would get out early this morning and catch the last few dark hours so I got to the farm about 5:30 and settled down on a ridge in the field that looks directly over the main burrow on the farm. I was all wrapped up in thermals and my fluffy deer stalker hat in a little world of my own looking down the scope for Mr bunny to show his face. I looked up to see a barn owl swooping down with his claws about 5 ft from my head. Guess my hat looks like prey! A quick jump up and a 1000 lumen lamp in his face soon made him realize i wasn't going to be a good meal choice! First time I'v
  10. Yorkshires not the closest of locations
  11. Do you shoot on your permission or move in? Of course my friend. None of this rolling about on thistles, nettles and stones and starving to bloody death and dying of thirst on a long day out to nightfall for me laddie! I'll be camping out under the stars on my permission come the warm summer with my mates Andy and Paul here! Paul's curried rabbit, squirrel and pigeon on rice, on the fire, shot fresh that day/evening. Good wines, great Beers, plenty of good malt scotch, tea, coffee and even a pudding for afters. And lots of soft, soft, soft for the 'loo' I built down there!

  17. when i brought my pup home i just brought the others into the living room one by one to sniff each other and then left them to it as they seemed to get on but i split them up for a few weeks when they couldnt be supervised
  18. if there is no signs try firing quite a few pellets through it so it will start to leave marks and then have another look. might not have been enough pellets for a build up
