  1. I cant eat meat off the bone. if i go to KFC the only thing i will eat is a boneless banquet. not alone there pal
  2. i had an ex who couldnt have food touching, id make a curry and have to put the curry on one plate and the rice on another. i said its fine but your washing up mine arent too strange but...... Supernoodle butties (my ex used to go mental!) salt and vinegar butties picalilli butties
  3. what boots does everyone use? Ive been using military issue boots for a while but they really rub my feet and end up walking crippled so ive started using my old timberlands instead but its impossible to stalk in them they make so much noise no matter how lightly you tread
  4. well what a trip! went out for 3 hours to a permission where there isnt usually much about maybe a rabbit or two and a few roosting woodies. as soon as i turned up there was a rabbit waayyyy out of range. i gave the stalk a shot but had no chance as there was a security light behind me casting a shadow. carried on for £ hours and didnt see a thing so decided to pack up and head home. just as i got to the gates a pigeon flew out the tree and scared the shit out of me while the rifle was in the bag!! i could of thrown the f***ing thing at it i was pissed off! quarry really seems to be scarce
  5. I do agree with that as i have my 3 insured and i have never claimed, however my sisters dog is 7 and has diabetes, epilepsy and cataracts vets fees are about £2000 for all his checks and medication but she pays her insurance excess at £75 and thats it sorted to be fair if any of mine had all or any of the above, they wouldnt need a vet Indeed...............keeping pet dogs going with these types of conditions is probably what greases the wheels of the pet insuance industry..............it wouldn't be a life my dogs would be living. I agree if it was my dog i would see it kinder to l
  6. No im not saying everyone is in my position, all i was doing was pointing out that petplan will insure working dogs for a reasonable price as there is alot of posts ive seen where people are struggling to get insurance. if you dont want to insure your dogs thats fair enough i was just stating there is a company out there that you can be honest with and it wont break the bank.
  7. I have a bull x whippet who im only just getting started working so cant comment on that aspect but shes a great little dog pet wise if you dont mind her running up your walls and swinging from the light fitting!
  8. I do agree with that as i have my 3 insured and i have never claimed, however my sisters dog is 7 and has diabetes, epilepsy and cataracts vets fees are about £2000 for all his checks and medication but she pays her insurance excess at £75 and thats it sorted
  9. There is a big conifer on one of my permissions and there is always a roosting woodie or two in there you just have to stick your head in the tree and then realise there's one at the end of your nose
  10. My vets an australian grey haired bloke mid 40's.....not my style haha
  11. Emergency vets are open at 3am and I don't have a car at the moment anymore and won't for another 2 months so I walk to my permissions and my emergency vets is also walking distance so if my dog has a bone sticking out her leg I'm not going to stop off at home to get changed and freshen up am I?
  12. Also I picked up on looking for permission, how where you granted FAC? I personally don't have mine yet but I do know that your permissions are listed and inspected
  13. Exactly mate they weren't bothered in the slightest so for an extra £2 I'm happy knowing she's 100% covered
  14. Yer I wouldn't volunteer to be shot at 300yards but I agree I don't think impact would be much at all. I have heard my shot land on a tin shed roof after taking a pigeon in flight and that was 150-200 yards away
  15. What happens when your dog breaks its leg at 3am and you turn up at the vets in full camo a big lamp in one hand a bag of rabbits in the other and your dog on a slip lead? My two pet dogs cost £40 for both so for the sake of £2 more a month why not tell them?
  16. I've seen a lot of people struggling to get insurance for their lurchers, I phoned petplan today and I said straight up I want to insure a working lurcher and she will be used lamping rabbits they said that's fine and I've just taken out a lifetime policy with £7000 of cover for £22 a month
  17. 12g will kill anything, even with birdshot at point plank range so yes for despatching. Wear safety glasses for this. Only way I would say to shoot I with the shotgun is at close range by sitting out and baiting, or if you accidentally walk on up. BB or even AAA regd. Word of warning, birdshot won't do much harm over 100yds, but AAA are much bigger and carry energy much further, probably at 300yd they can do harm, as you are aware the backstop matters, but even more so with "buckshot" 300yards with a shotgun??? :|
  18. I have a neoprene cover on mine and it lights the f*cking thing up like a lightsaber. I have a mount that the lamp just pulls in and out of so I keep it out until I spot those two little red reflections and then put it back on the mount to prepare for the shot
  19. mine used to go to the ferrets but now the dogs get them
  20. good to know. alot of my permissions have no signal too. thanks
