  1. I think everyone has their own opinion, personally I use a bladetech but a lot of people donrt like them as they shave the knife rather than honing it but id say the most common are blade techs, whetstones and sandpaper. I also have a Gerber keyring sharpener and the reviews where great but I use the blade tech and get it perfect then run it through the gerber and it comes out blunter than before the gerber so definitely blade tech for me

  10. Its 30/30 mate. I haven't been out in the field with my new scope yet although I zeroed it in the garden and it worked as it should and has so far kept its zero but its a very short time to tell its been under 24 hours. My mates simmons though i cant fault it. I would reccommend them to anyone
  11. Thanks for the good luck. The scope my mate has that we both think is fine is a simmons so I thought i better stick to one I have tested. I used the IR on the lowest red setting so it wasnt too bright but I did find it helped in low light
  12. I have just asked about the clippers as I have seen them in other colours and I dont really want the orange sheath to walk around the field Id rather the green. Colour wont put me off Id just like to see if green is available

    Canada Geese

what a fecking hero , pricking eggs and shooting birds out of seasonthen next people will be whinging that there is nothing to shoot Canada Geese fella, not unicorns. Where have you been for the last twenty feckin' years, they're taking over the countryside and local parks! I've a permit to control them on works land and what season are you talking about? They're open or on G/L! They carry decease, are aggressive, ruin golf courses, if they nest on the moor are capable of taking young grouse, and go through some grass on the farms I go on. Ask any farmer if he wants them on. Feck me, wha
  14. I was just wondering If anyone can recommend a good cheap fixed blade hunting knife roughly £20? I have my trusty whitby locking knife but its all scratched after use and not holding an edge as it used to plus the guthook is now useless. I want to go for a fixed blade and sheath this time but not an expensive one Cheers Billy

  16. I use RWS superdomes in mine I think they are 14.9 off the top of my head. Just ordered another tin as they group well and seem to do well at longer ranges
  17. I have the stoeger aswell mate and its a great gun for the money. mine still has power for rabbits at 35 yards but if yours is still at 10 it shouldnt need a spring maybe just a strip down and clean re grease etc? Out of curiosity what pellets are you using with it?
  18. They would be for sale because electric calls are and they are legal for photography. I know it will take some time to master but practice makes perfect Thanks for your replies
  19. Thanks for your reply thats exactly what i wanted to hear
  20. Just a quick question, I want to send off for my FAC in a few months and my mate is sending his next week but what I want to clear up is we share each others land and hunt together but also go to each others land separately. I wanted to know if we can both be cleared for FAC on the same plots of land or is it only one FAC holder per plot? The owners are fine with it just wondering on the law? Thanks Billy
  21. Well after my troubles with blurry crosshairs on two scopes I have decided its not going to harm me to have an eye test as I havent had one since I was 15 but was told at the time I have 20/20 vision. Im going next week but in the meantime I decided to treat myself to a new Simmons 3-9x40 and I love it had to do without the IR which I will miss a bit but the image is crystal clear Hopefully that will solve my issues
