  1. Cologne sex attacks 'require police rethink' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35248601
  2. Still.......soon be summer. At least the rain will be a bit warmer !
  3. Now there's a chap who's never seen an episode of The Professionals ! never even heard of them.lol what is it,a tv series? You've never seen Bodies and Doyle ?? Dear God !! Go to YouTube immediately and watch. Bodie could handbrake a Capri, roll over the bonnet, fire 20+ rounds from a revolver, chat up "a couple of birds" and down half a lager all without creasing his Farah's ! Class !!
  4. Now there's a chap who's never seen an episode of The Professionals !
  5. Was going to suggest the series. Peaky Blinders, Breaking bad, Narcos, Sons of Anachy, Better Call Saul (watch after Breaking bad) are all good. We finished watching Prison Break at 2 last night which i'd seen some of when they first came out but being able to watch them back to back on Netflix is better as it's easier to follow the story than when it first came out and you had to wait a week for the next one It was like the dark ages back then - having to be in front of your TV at the same time every week to watch the next episode ! It's a wonder any of us kept our sanity !
  6. I've just paid 99.9p per litre in Street/Glastonbury area, unleaded is the same price. Even though diesel is much cheaper to produce. Crude prices have dropped 50% or more recently and they only take less than 25% off the retail price. And we all think we're getting a good deal! Something like 75% of the pump price is taxes, VAT and various other ways of milking a cash cow !
  7. I'm sure there a re many SGC holders with a "chequered past", but I think your difficulty, if you have one, will be that the offence was so recent.
  8. Pleased to be 616 ! Let's keep it going........
  9. My car is involved in the "emissions scandal", but the bottom line is simple for me..... 99p a litre, 40 mpg round town, 70+ on motorways - I don't care if dead kittens come out the ar5e end !
  10. Supermarket derv is a cheap sub standard derv that can help feck up your motor,a few mechanics have told me about it and Tesco's are one of the worse to buy from.. Load of bollocks, millions of road users fill up using supermarkets. I don't see millions of cars breaking down every week! I've used supermarket fuel for years (petrol and diesel) with no issues. Nor do I know anyone else who has had a issue out down to using cheap fuel.
  11. Migrant crisis: Sweden border checks come into force - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35218921
  12. That's shame, big fella. £1 a litre would be a big plus for you !
  13. They might have fiddled my emission test results, but at these prices and anything up to 70mpg........ Supermarkets cut diesel price to below £1 a litre - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35217383
  14. Bang on pal, everyone seems to want to be their kids best mates these days You can have the sort of relationship with your grown up kids but when they're young they need to respect you as an authority figure, not see you as one of their mates. I'm best pals with my Da now but when I was a kid "pal" was the last word I'd use to describe him Same in our house mate. You crossed my mother at your peril ! Once , I'd planned to go out with my pals, so when she said I had to stay in, I muttered some profanity under my breath. I knew she'd heard me, the moment I started fearing for my life. I'v
  15. It's all this "modern parenting" bollox, I blame. My sister-in-law is a good example of this. Shesees herself as her kids best mate. Chastisement is a rare thing, let alone any kind of punishment. After he'd made a right show of her in the shopping centre, she told my nephew (7 years old) "I'm very disappointed in you. I want you to sit in your room and think about what you've done". So off he went to his room, where he proceeded to switch his PlayStation on and she was instantly consigned to dim memory. My old mam would have battered seven shades of 5hit out of me, and not lost a w
  16. Just one more....... My dad (left) on his wedding day, with his twin brother. March 1962.
  17. This is my parents wedding day, March 1962, showing them with all 4 of my grandparents. My maternal grandad (far right) was a 23 year veteran of the 17/21st Lancers and a fine man ! My mum tells me there was snow on the ground !
  18. My dad (God rest him), my eldest sister and me. Western Australia 1970. Great haircut, eh ? Me and my sister with our Xmas presents. Some quality gifts !
  19. And God said to Noah, "You should get pet insurance".............. but Noah was Jewish, and thought better of it !
  20. I pity the angels.........heaven is about to get VERY noisy ! My brother saw Motorhead a few years ago, and said his ears were ringing for 3 days afterwards !
  21. We have the bliss of all the kids grown up and flown the nest...... You could call them "adult children", but that wouldn't make sense!
  22. Among the usual socks and smelly stuff, I was given a "Keep calm and carry on Hunting" T-shirt, a nice pair of walking shoes, a set of purse nets and a new knife........ .....happy lad or what ?
  23. Excellent turnout at the Oakley.....a wonderful family event.
  24. We're off to the Oakley. Tally ho !
