  5. They might be a good idea when you're turned down (and you will be !) - " I'll leave you a card for future references......." kind of thing. I've only ever had this work once, when one of my 'customers' passed my number on to a friend of theirs. Don't expect the phone to ring off the hook, but what harm can it do ? Keep it simple - name, phone number, email (if you like) and a BRIEF description of your services. Good luck !
  6. Third attempt went well........to a point ! Another fail.
  7. I've got some that I bought, but I fancied having a go. After 10 minutes of making, followed by 40 minutes of un-making and starting again, I'm beginning to question my decision. (In truth, I think I'm just finding it awkward because I'm left handed, so to follow the videos, I'm having to do things "the wrong way round"..............either that or I'm just a cack-handed simpleton !)
  8. Got all the necessary kit, found some good instructionals on YouTube and........ .......I've just found the answer to the question "How hard can it be ?"
  9. I think he'll find some way to over-comb his troubles ! (15 all !)
  10. Your soooo cynical He's never been the same since he moved ! I blame all that fresh air !
  11. His campaign suffers a significant loss to Ted Cruz. A clear candidate is unlikely to be chosen now, leading to damaging in-fighting at the party's summer Convention.......... https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-falters-in-wisconsin-as-cruz-wins-big-042329220.html
  12. I blame global warming...... or is it climate change ? Or Volkswagen emissions.......or carrier bags.......or overuse of hair dryers......etc etc
  13. I caught my best mate shagging my missus once........ I was really angry with him and shouted....." I'm married to her ! I have to ! But you ??"
  14. Terror work ? Have you converted ?
  15. What is Watts App ?
  16. We've had all of our done, over the years, from around 10_ weeks old. I don't give a stuff about the law, I see it as our only hope of getting them back if they get lost. It won't stop backyard breeders, accidental litters or tattooed f***wits with aggressive dogs but that's not why I have it done !
  17. The death of any child, in any circumstance, should be nothing but a cause for sadness. Rest in peace, little lady.
  18. Sunday roast. Tripe and onions (haven't had that for years ! Yum !) Liver and bacon. Mixed grill. Faggots (the ones in gravy, not the homosexual variety !)
  19. It was genuinely upsetting to see the effects of PTSD so close up. She was a magnificent young lady, who did herself more than credit, and it was a real shame that it ended like that for her. She would have put every one of those 'men' to shame I think..........
  20. You've answered your own question really........ It's a 'public' footpath. You can walk them day or night without permission. Once you leave the path, you need permission.
  21. I've been led to believe that cruiserweight originates from a naval term. Cruisers are the second largest fighting ship, so cruiserweight are the second biggest fighters.......

  24. I only buy The Times occasionally now, but I feel the same way about books......
  25. A couple of print newspapers have closed recently and circulation figures have been falling for years now. "New Day" launched recently, but circulation is below target, and it's already struggling. And yet, we have saturation news coverage - rolling news channels, websites and online editions ensure that the most mundane issues are dissected and examined in detail. So........ Do you still read a printed newspaper ? Do you prefer 'serious' journalism, or are you a tabloid reader ? Have you switched to online editions or do you get your news some other way ? Does news print eve
