The official campaign groups have been chosen. Each will be allowed to spent £7 million and get a free mailshot........ So, the spending of £9 million before the campaigns were designated was REALLY sneaky ! Farage has apparently been side-lined, in favour of Gove's group, but it may not be over yet......... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/04/13/pmqs-live-david-cameron-jeremy-corbyn-eu-referendum-brexit-fund/

A London Cab driver picked up a wealthy Japanese businessman from Heathrow Airport. On the trip into London he told the driver he had flown over to back one of the horses he owned in the Grand National. His jockey had told him that this was the horse he had waited for all his career, and he was positive the horse would win at a huge price. He urged the cabbie to put everything he owned on the horse - it couldn't be beaten ! Keep it to himself, and he could make a fortune ! Being an obssesive gambler the cabbie couldn't wait from him to tell him the name of the horse. After he paid the fa

I havent done any today, but I've been giving it some thought and I'm seeing ways I can put things right instead of starting again.......... It's falling into place now, so hopefully I'll have a new net in time for the new season !

Cameron Explains His Tax Liabilities...........

Fact for the day...... Income Tax was introproduced by Pitt the Younger in 1799, as a temporary measure, to find the Napoleonic Wars......... -
Diane Abbott exposed.......what a dreadful thought !

Cameron Explains His Tax Liabilities...........

But there IS a morality involved when a PM demands that we all pay our taxes and makes a big deal of clamping down on the likes of Google and Starbucks, when he and his family have avoided taxes for years........... -
Cameron Explains His Tax Liabilities...........
Blackbriar replied to Blackbriar's topic in General Talk
Hard of thinking ? Leftard ? I'm quite offended at being called that - I might report you for an "ism" I haven't made up yet ! Because he MAY have done nothing illegal, doesn't mean he's done nothing wrong. His father was an acknowledged tax dodger (albeit legally), and he and his wife had offshore funds as recently as 2010. Yet here we are, forced to live under constant cuts to services and benefits, because we're told the country is skint, while him and his old boy network stash their cash away from the taxman. Unless you believe that were all in this together ? -

My name's Ben Elton............little bit of politics, there ! -

It's reassuring to know that even someone of your experience occasionally gets it wrong, too !Not at all reassuring to have your spirit crushed by a ball of string .........

This is daft....... I did the 12 rows without my glasses. Put them on, and buggered up row 3 !! 400g of pink poly is making its way to the back of the wardrobe......
-
That's the trouble I'm having. When you unpick the poly, all the strands end up separated.... I've used 100g of twine and got absolutely nothing to show.........on the bright side, when I run out, I'll have plenty of rings left !!
-
This will give you a proper laugh....... I'm only doing it because I'm laid up - busted my back and can't walk !!
-
did you try what tc suggested to find out if its the twine or your needle loading ? I did, and it's helped a lot. Also, the twisting lessens as the net gets longer, so I'm getting there ! I got to the 12th row before I buggered it up this time (he wrote through gritted teeth !) This is probably the most frustrating thing I've ever tried......
-
So far, I've got a nice pile of pink spun poly in the bin ! Can't stop it twisting around itself - I've tried all the tips given so far, but no joy......... Still, at least I'm having fun ! (Who am I f***ing kidding ?)
-
It could be the way the twine was loaded on to the spool, nothing to do with you. Try, putting the spool horizontal with the twine coming off the top of the spool, ( a small box does this job well) pull a yard or so of twine off the spool and cut it and let the end you cut drop, if it spins it is more than likely that it is a fault with the spool, if it does not spin then it is the way you are loading the needle that is causing the twist. TC Many thanks TC. I'll try this, and your other tips, later mate.
-
Just for practise, I made one 6 meshes wide and 10 long. Getting g the hang of the technique, but the net is twisting around itself as I'm making it ! Any help greatly appreciated........
-
Is hemp better than spun poly ? I keep getting foiled by the poly twisting on itself........... Without any other information I would guess you are using a traditional needle and standing the ball of twine on it's end to load the needle? TC Yes mate. The needle is 8" Osprey, loaded off a vertical spool. I think I know where!you're going with this.......

At least I'll be able to say that I tried.......(if at first you don't succeed, try again......then give up - no point being stupid about it !)
