  1. Too bad kangaroos are slow as shit. Only the ones that have been tied down by old rolf
  2. The hares vital organs are out of proportion to an animal of it's size,I've always likened it to a human with the heart and lungs of a race horse
  3. Dogs looking well BS,but you'd find more meat in a tin of beans and sausages, than what those little snouters have got on them
  4. Tarpaulin 5 quid from B&Q,specially designed to protect against puppy drool and biccy crumbs
  5. Neither since I joined this site, just like to look at pictures now
  6. Well here's one from this evening, took from the roadside as I didn't have my boots on to go into the field. It's a bit swampy where it's hunting. never used to see a barn owl where I live, but they are getting about now, real nice to see

The hare was'nt too far away, the sliplead just got snagged up in the dogs collar for a couple of seconds
  8. he held onto the dog abit to long and it was the last run of day, i thought he should have one it aswell looked a very strong fast killer on dvd, good back on him, do you no what gc was running on dvd? that was a good animal? G C was running his sally bitch, real fast tight little runner,it was the old masters coursing dvd, thought it was a good bit before 2005 though

  13. Was having a look in darcy's coursing book, and i saw C W mention fly was out of irish lady, hard to keep track, how's the bitch in pup doing captain, hope everything is going well,I was walking across a pasture field lastnight and my 10 year old dog put a fit one up you should have seen it ears flat body lowered flat out lol
  14. It's hard to keep up with all of these coursing bred dogs, was there two bitches named fly that came from the Irish/english bred dogs
  15. Know what you mean K C, I've been fascinated with hares since the first time I saw one explode out of the stubble as I walked towards the sand dune rabbit burrows with my box full of ferrets, that was 21 years ago,and that vision has never left me,got my first lurcher the year after and never missed a season,I've seen some real weird things with hares since then, including watching a hare lie down on october stubble,as me and two other lads made our way back home with four tired lurchers and a mad keen nuttall terrier, they were all off the lead and were going mad with what they could smell, but
  16. Was just thinking when I started coursing 20 years ago,the saluki crosses were a new type, and a bit of a mystery really, there was one person up here in the north east that bred a litter and claimed the pups would be 3/3 dogs anywhere in the country, there was one well populated place with small fields, and there was and i believe still is a little whippet racing track just to the side of these fields,Ihave caught a lot of hares on this place, and I know a lot of other people that have caught hares there, but none of us ever managed to catch one single hare in the daytime, one of the dogs was a 3/4
  17. Never ran on the big land myself, but I recently watched some footage of a greyhound running a fen hare,I thought the dog was never going to get on terms with the hare, took a long time and the dog was flat out,so it does go to show how deceiving the big land game is when you're watching on the dvd's,like I've said before hares certainly are'nt slow, and if you watch how some almost pure salukis keep their hares from getting in the cover, they cannot be any slouches either
  18. shes five now kc this february just gone..she had a great mouth on her .just like her mother As long as she did'nt have mother in law's disease
  19. Had an myself, always thought it was pointless to have such a big and heavy gun as a 12 foot pounder,I would say get it on your ticket, and get some venison in your freezer
