  1. You lads have got some good strong looking dogs over there, has that dog got the tight running style captain
  2. I agree. There are two big problems with the internet. The first problem is that certain individuals think that they are anonymous from behind their keyboards and can post what they like online with little or no comeback. The second problem is that some members think that posting on here is the same as chatting in a pub or whatever. What you don't get with the written word is the body language that goes with a conversation, nor is their the privacy that you get when you whisper to your mate stood at the bar. That leads to misunderstandings, and people putting two and two together
  3. Ffs ten pages,I was only having a laugh when I started another account
  4. if you don't cut them back far enough they will grow back I could'nt have cut them any further back, everyday there was a bit more regrowth so I kept nipping them back until about the 10th day, then the pups were showing some pain so I never tried again, they were born at the start of the last good summer that we had,and I put their rapid growth down to endless hours of sunshine, and plenty good food, even the dews refused to stop growing
  5. I bred a litter 8 years ago,and removed the dew claws, but they just kept regrowing, the sire still has his, dont know if this is a common thing,I did ask an old racing dog trainer, and he knew of it happening, luckily I've had no problems with them

  7. It's easy to think of saluki crosses just as coursing dogs what with all the matching, forley cups, and fen talk yes they are the best for all that but they have no problem working like any other cross,my dogs are more than half saluki, they have worked fur and feather day and night, and for the 3 seasons that I worked them to fox it was very rare for them to miss one I am not knocking them as a breed, everyman to his own, i kept a line and worked them on teeth and they suited me .is saluki blood the right way to go to the ultimate all rounder. There are probably far too many crosses ava

  11. two different pics, its the second bitch im on about, more fat in the diet to bulk her out.........suggestions please Either get a complete food that is at least 25% protein and 16% fat: this is listed on the side of the bag of dog food, OR, get some breast of lamb (ribs and flaps). Feed her twice a day: two smaller meals are better than one big meal. She needs protein (meat or meat based complete food) to put on muscle, and extra calories (fat/carbohydrate) to bulk up properly. Also, when was she last wormed and with what wormer? both bitches last wormed month ago, tables off a well
  12. Nothing that a few months of intensive roadwork wont put right
  13. Looks like the other bitch is eating all the food,do you feed them together, and do you watch them eat,I've seen one of my dogs dominated at feeding times,by the younger dog, dogs can be very jealous where food is concerned
  14. Green tripe cheap and smelly but it'll soon cover the bones, and the dog will thank you for it aswell
  15. Seen that pup somewhere before ,you must be over the moon with her, she's a lovely little thing, dont think she will let you go hungry, all the best to you both
  16. Think haswell is finished now,but I would'nt take the dogs there anyway, used to be nothing but dealers, and swap merchants at that place
  17. He's a keen looking young dog,got some back on him aswell,be a good age in september to get him going, all the best captain
  18. You wanna get them boils on your cocker's face lanced
  19. 18 mile, are you training your dog for the marathon
  20. I walked about eight miles a few nights ago on the land where I first started coursing, the place used to be crawling with hares,I only seen one,and that was put up by my ten year old dog, travelled a little way down the road this afternoon to some hill farm/heather moorland, and there was hares all over the place, dogs were going mad on their leads
  21. Sounds like a nice place, only see roe deer up here, though there is one solitary red stag living with the horses on a local nature reserve, think he has been picked up when he was a calf, and someone has tried to keep him as a pet, until he got too big,he must be a good sixty or more miles from any wild herds
  22. When a parrot passes, who gets the pieces of eight ?
